The Lyrics

Thought of this one after having tried a knickerbocker glory which mum brought home. As you can probably tell, it was vile...
Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay
Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay

I just ate a real fantastic knickerbocker glory
Mum bought from the shops today if you must know the story
Once you get a taste of it, you'll end up wanting more-y
Super-cool-and-damn-nice-tasting knickerbocker glory

Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay
Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay

Mum bought home a treat today it didn't look half bad
Soon I realised it was the best i'd ever had
And sure enough, i'm pigging out
With whipped cream on my nose
The best desert I ever ate
But soon enough it goes

It's super-cream-and-fruit-with-trifle knickerbocker glory
Once I started eating it, the scene became quite gory
If Tony Blair had one for tea, he'd end up turning Tory
Super-fab-and-near-life-changing knickerbocker glory

Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay
Yum yummy yummy yummy yum yummy-ay

So quickly pass my bib and spoon
And hand one on a tray
Cause after one you're hooked for life
Taste one and eat all day
"It's very nice and filling" says
Mum who's addicted too
Just say the word and off she goes
To eat the other few

Oh! Super-yummy-stomach-filling knickerbocker glory
If I had the cash for it i'd eat another forty
Who cares about calories? They really start to bore me
This-fantastic-drool-enticing knickerbocker glory

I don't know what a Knickerbocker Glory is but this is a great treatment of the OS. 555

It's a desert with ice cream and a cherry on top, followed by yogurt, a spongey layer and then fruit salad on the bottom. Or at least that was the knickerbocker glory I had. Thanks

Most writers tend to cut a verse or two to avoid the spoken parts at the end of the song, you did to, but I feel kinda bad about having cut a point on pacing at some of such times and/so I'm gonna stop with that. 555 (for as long as it lasted) but the line about Tony Blair seemed a bit out of context, though I can guess you ran out of rhymes and went for Tory etc.

Peter: I actually used the lyrics posted in other people's parodies and used that as the frame for it, but thanks for overlooking that : ) Matthias: Yes I am British, yes I am British, yes I am British, yes I am British, yes I am British, yes I am British, yes I am British. Thanks! Johnny D: Thank you, kind sir

I agree with the first thing Matthias said and said and said and said and said and said and said - and also with the second thing he said and said and said and said and said and said and said

great pacing, and a great advert for whatever that weird-sounding thing is, DAK -555

Veddy British, indeed. I think in America, we'd call that a parfait. In any case, it was pretty yummy! (Those Sherman brothers were ingenious song scorers for Mary Poppins, though they were total Yanks!) 555

Apparently twit control isn't working too well at the moment, but this was excellent DAK. 5s.
