Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"I'm Getting Married To Matthias"

Parody Written by:

EmiLoca

The Lyrics

Matthias is getting married. No, seriously, Matthias Is Getting Married.
I’m getting married to Matthias
Ring popped; he knelt to me online
Fiancée jumped him
Then off and dumped him
So Emi’s now his wordsmith bride

He’ll be remarried without warning
Post-nups delivered, sealed and signed
Friends dance and guests sing
(Parents protesting -
But won’t be long ‘til they flat-line)

“They’ll never last” say droll, skeptic bores
Jealous, I’m guessing:
“Dude, up yours!”

Cause I’m freakin’ married to Matthias
Synced songs, we sang our vows in rhyme
Soon honeymooning
Knife, fork, and spooning
Tonight he’s gonna score…
That’s right, he’s gonna score…
Hell yeah! Tonight he’s gonna score three fives!

Song of the year candidate! I think you've just been invited to be his wedding singer with this.

Wow!!! I don't even know what to say Emiloca, I'm flattered! (I guess it's true about what they say about married men, all the women want them). This was an amazing parody, and not just because it was about me (That's only one of the main qualifications in writing an amazing parody). It was a short song but the lines in it were hilarious as well "Knife, fork, and spooning" (lol) as well as "Tonight he’s gonna score… That’s right, he’s gonna score…" and of course "“Dude, up yours!”" lol... If I wasn't already engaged I would totally marry you Emiloca!

Congratulations, Matthias! After an impressive "body of work," a little "work for the body!" (Just kidding) Great write, emi! In pure My Fair Lady style, I hope you won't "Do-Little" ;D

Congrats, guys on getting married! LOL!! Well written parody as always, EmiLoca! You certainly have great taste and I will always be a fan of your parodies! May you live a healthy, prosperous life! You've captured the essence and thrills on weddings! You would make one beautiful bride and Matt will make a handsome bridegroom! You got something old, new, borrowed, and blue up your sleeve! Make sure you eat lots of cake!! Here's $555 for your honeymoon!!!

Okay LittleCupCakes... Emiloca what's your favorite color?

Emi, I'd definitely be willing to be the best man when you wed Matty! Great tribute to him, and I was a little shocked when I found out he was getting married. (To his real wife, of course.) 555s as usual.

If this wedding is going to happen, I want to officiate :)

Congrats ... if I ever found a soulmate here -- like, maybe, someone who posted the same OS, title switch, and subject on the same day as I did -- I might marry her, too. (Sorry AFW, I don't swing that way.

Great stuff Emi... and here's the Sixty-Four Thousand Dollar Question--Is this a comeback or a cameo?[*crosses partially webbed fingers for the former*]
Andria - August 04, 2009 - Report this comment
Congratulations to Matthias and his REAL fiancee. (Yes, I picked up on the fact that you're not the bride-to-be, Emiloca) 5s to you for your effort here, and as for me, I don't think I'll ever get married. I have had more nasty morons than "Prince Charmings" as BFs, and I have decided that relationships aren't really worth the effort for me. But if the right man comes into my life, then maybe I'll change my mind.

Wow, I wasn't expecting such an overwhelming response. The chorus sprung into my head last night, and I couldn't help but finish it off, but I'm glad so many people approve of my homewrecking! ;-)
Thanks to Medemia, Matthias, Old Man, Christie, Fiddlegirl, Mark, Timmy, Cupcakes, Blaze, TT, TJC, Andria and Alvin. It's been a pleasure amusing you. :P

*pounds on upstairs glass window in slow motion, to the tune of Chris Brown's 'Forever'* Oh wait, that's from 'The Graduate'... never mind...

@Tommy T:

Such a sweet and lovely sentiment... I'm all for it. But however would I explain to Mr. Haste? Particularly given the fact that I really can't swim all that well...

@Marion Haste: I'd carry you on my back, as I already support the entire planet on it:

but since I never do anything post-Haste, guess it will just have to remain a Vulcan mind-meld. (We'll be Vulcan' like crazy!

The whole universe? No wonder you're so tired of late...

Vulcan' like crazy? It would be illogical not to! ;)

Came to revisit this one. Yeah... That wedding was like one big April Fools prank guys. I wasn't really getting married, but as long as it created such a great parody about me who's to care either way? Now let's go to Vegas and get hitched Emi.
