The Lyrics
I wrote this for my friend, Debbie, who was in the process of moving to her new home, a condo. Debbie's female cat, "Cookie," was staying with Debbie's sister, but was being reunited with Debbie in her new digs. Cookie was having some "problems" that led to Cookie "dragging" her dirty tush on the floor. The "HOA" refers to the condos' "Homeowners Association."
When Cookie comes dragging home again,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
We'll give her a hearty welcome then,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The neighbors will cringe, the dogs will cry,
The cleaning services' stock will go sky high,
And we'll all be there
When Cookie comes dragging home!
The ladies will wear their best gold and pearls,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
As they welcome home that darling girl,
Hurrah! Hurrah!
The loving owner and her friends
Will cover the floors by all means and ends,
And we'll all be there
When Cookie comes dragging home!
Get ready for the awful mess,

It's too bad there's always more and not less,
