The Lyrics

For all those who say I shouldn't call George W. Bush names. If you don't know the original song (for you Amiright newcomers, we abbreviate this to DKTOS), I'm not surprised, since it goes back to 1950. Here's the lyrics, such as they are, sounding as if they are, themselves, a parody: http://www.lyricsdepot.com/phil-harris/thing.html
While I was walking down the street
one bright and sunny day
I met a man who asked me for
the President to pray.
I took his flyer and opened it up
and much to my surprise
ooh, I saw Bush was a (bump-ba-dump)
full of awful lies!
Ooh, I saw Bush was a (bump-ba-dump)
full of awful lies!

I crunched it up and threw it out
'cause I prefer to sing
a song about how Dubya Bush
is acting like a king.
'Cause this is what they're saying now
to folks who push his slop:
"Oh, get out of here with that (bump-ba-dump)
before I call a cop!"
("Oh, get out of here with that (bump-ba-dump)
before I call a cop!")

I got out of the Twin Towers
running for my life
and finally I made it back
to my poor suff'ring wife.
And this is what she hollered at Bush
in year 2004:
"Oh, get out of here with that (bump-ba-dump)
and don't come back no more!"
(Oh, get out of here with that (bump-ba-dump)
and don't come back no more!)

I wandered all around the town
until I chanced to meet
a hobo who was looking for
a handout on the street.
I asked him why he'd lost his home.
Was it the tax-cut plan?
And he said, "Bush! That (bump-ba-dump)!
My job's gone to Iran!"
and turned around and ran!
(Oh, he said, "Bush! That (bump-ba-dump)!"
My job's gone to Iran!)

We struggled hard for eight long years
a victim of this fate.
And got a chance to get it right
then in 2008.
And when we got a smart President
he told Bush where to go:
"Get out of here with your (bump-ba-dump)
and take it down below!"
(Oh, get out of here with your (bump-ba-dump)
and take it down below!)

The moral of the story is
if greatness you would forge
and you decide to trust your land
to (bump-ba-dump) named George
don't ever blame anyone else.
That's my advice to you.
'Cause... he'll never do right with his (bump-ba-dump)
no matter what he'll do!
(Oh, he'll never do right with his (bump-ba-dump)
no matter what he'll do!)
(Ba-dump!)
I know, doing these REAL oldies is rough for some of you, but learn your music history... at least, learn music history better than Bush has learned political, economic and scientific history.

Umm, so if I know this song, does that make me strange? It seems you don't expect anyone to know this song. I had a recording of this song since I was about ten years old... So are you going to do a Buzz Clifford song next??

Another good bush bash. I just came from www.worldnetdaily.com reading articles that even the white house and congress are starting to jump down his throat now.

carol writes ..........that this parody is another good bush bash, showing once more, her total commitment to hypocrisy and double standards…………………… - WorldNetDaily said what!? â€" thanks for the good reading! The links in that article with more example of comments from across the country were very good too. Seems that there are more Americans who know the truth and that, thank God, the fanatical radical left are a majority and the Demoncrat party is dying out!

First Linda says that "thank God, the fanatical radical left are a majority," which is something that should scare much of the hell out of her. (Being a Republican, nothing could scare ALL the hell out of her, not even Hillary's election.) Then she says "The Demoncrat party is dying out!" Well, gee, Linda, which is it? Damn, these right-wingers can never get their lies straight. They can't even get their narrowness straight.

The War Among The Democrats - great article, thanks for the tip! I especially like the line; "Dick Gephardt and Joe Lieberman both said it was, Howard Dean said it wasn't, and John Kerry said . . . well, he said something in between"" That was really funny. But as most people have seen for themselves, the Demoncrap party is a dying breed and I love to watch them duke it out.
