The Lyrics

A true story. July 1807 and Napoleon signs the Treaties of Tilsit. To celebrate, a rabbit hunt for his officers and guests with hundreds if not thousands of rabbits. But once released, the domesticated rabbits ran towards Napoleon and jumped him forcing him to flee in his carriage!
Napoleon was lettuce food
For a time

To celebrate, was his mood
Bunny hunt
Banquet lunch

Bunnies weren't having it
The caged horde was hungry, hopping 'round
The cages we're sprung open
The bunnies hopped faster than the hounds
Tracked Napoleon down

Napoleon was lettuce food
For a time
One July

Bunny food
Pants they chewed
At his boots
He ran to his carriage
Bunnies flanked
Up climbing
This enemy was scary!

A sight to see
Napoleon was lettuce food
For a time
(Wild hares instead were the need)
The bunnies didn't run away because they were domestic types bought from Farmers. They thought it was feeding time!
