The Lyrics

Anyone in Australia knows that world record holder Ian Thorpe was disqualified from the 400m Freestyle at recent trials for false starting (overbalancing before
the gun went off and sort of tilting his 2m body into the water) This parody
begins by calling out in anguish at this blunder, then asking the officials to let
him go to Athens anyway.
[To the tune of 'Greatest View']
Thorpey paddles best. (Klim's name backwards is milk.)
But oh, Thorpe tumbled. And now he's DISQ.
The fall is laughed at by buffoons. Cuz no-one supports
Thorpe like me.

How could Thorpe slowly overbalance, dude?
We're swearing our heads off, disgraced.
The start gun had not gone off.
Don't know why Ian went slipping. D'oh!

I'm cringing, oh. Cringe now as he, falls kersplot.
A shameful view from here.
I'm cringing, oh. Cringe now as he, falls kersplot.
A shameful view from here.

Mistakes cost Olympics, Thorpe started and got wet.
Before the lactic show was meant to.
Shame, that awful fall that turned him into sin.

I'm cringing, oh. Cringe now as he, falls kersplot.
A shameful view from here.
I'm cringing, oh. Cringe now as he, falls kersplot.
A shameful view from here.

Oh well, he goes for 100 and 2. Still fearing and dreading a late
Start. Oh god. And finally I know: falling in was all for show.

[To the tune of 'The Door']
Should'nt have fell in. Poor. No Thorpe for Athens 'oh-four'.
Take your time. Let the Thorpe, let the Thorpe swim.
He'd've won. So let the Thorpe swim

How could you, eliminate such a swimming great.

We hiss and boo. Take him to Athens.
We hiss and boo. Take him now.

Let me know if they were tight.
Let me know, please AmIRight?

My God, you really need the music playing to get into this parody.I dub it
'CRAP' myself, so don't feel guilty marking it as 'CRAP'.

Thankyou azza & nazza. At least Thorpey can go for every other event. Are you from New South Wales? If so, visit my HSC New Year parody. www.amiright.com/parody/200s/marilynmanson10.shtml I don't think the majority of people on the site would 'get it' as well as Aussies.

nah mate, we're from outback WA. for some reason you don't seem to like our Australianism. We recomend you look at some of our other songs, apart from Buzzers and Flies which you obviously hate so much, eg "Outback Overload" etc and see how you like them. Us aussies must stick together, there is no point in being mean to each other yanno.
