Parody Song Title:

"Lovers Cracked My Ceiling"

Parody Written by:

Kristof Robertson

The Lyrics

If you live in a block of flats (apartments for our American friends), this could well be your worst nightmare...
Lovers cracked my ceiling
Upstairs Miss and Mister
Playing naked Twister
With lusty va-va-voom
And just as it stops
And I say "Amen!"
He shouts "ride me, cowgirl!"
Again and again

Lovers cracked my ceiling
She's been screaming "faster!!"
Cov'ring me in plaster
I hope they'll finish soon
But night after night
My chandelier shakes
He don't need Viagra
She don't get headaches

When first it happened
Earthquake, I believed
Now, I've subsidence
And I'm bloody peeved!

Lovers cracked my ceiling
My walls and foundations
This ain't fornication
It's demolition, dude!
Past three in the morn!
Do they use landmines?
They're probably porn stars
Rehearsing their lines

I'm using earplugs
Watching the cracks grow
I've taken strong drugs
Do I sleep? Hell, NO!

Good one, it's tough sharing walls and ceilings with people.

hooked me with the title - how did your brain manage to get there from the OS title (that's a lot of jumps) - TMGLTM, and the problem with that is that the better your writing is, the less the funny lines are pointed out, so I'll pick 2: He don't need Viagra She don't get headaches…Upstairs Miss and Mister Playing naked Twister With lusty va-va-voom - LMAO - 555

An unusual woman who screams "faster," and an unusually good parody.

"Cov'ring me in plaster" (and the rest of it) made me LOL!

Royce: I know; this parody comes from experience!

Mike: See comment to Royce above...sucks, doesn't it? ;-)

Rex: Blow your own trumpet, why dontcha? Thanks ;-)

PMS: Cheers!

Red Ant: Best not say anything, then...:-)

Stu: Sometimes I get the title first, but in this case I had the idea and had to search my addled brain for a suitable OS with a endword that sorta rhymed with "ceiling"...that said, the truth is I really don't know where the heck they come from. :-) Thanks, as always, for the gr8 feedback.

Carol: Love your brackets, sweetie!

John J: Mine usually do; they want to get it over with! ;-)

Arwen: Thanxs darling, that was the first couplet I came up with

Bye all...

(ABC) A situation in real life that I am all too familiar with, made me giggle. We should have more classic Broadway show tunes show up on amiright.

This does sound like a NorCAL cowboy! They are just so sweet, so what's a little plaster?? Sir Kristoff, The ~Jolly Knight ~

(ABC) see above - and with these short lines, not a word out of place - this is masterfully-written, and this time I laughed at "Cov'ring me in plaster" - and btw your explanation-for-inspiration above is definitely not what I would have predicted!
Red Ant - February 05, 2008 - Report this comment
Excellent parody, Kristof, and I promise I will only live on, rent or stay on 1st floor rooms! Say, do you remember the scenes from "Fight Club" where... ;)

(ABC) I am such a fan of showtune parodies. Yes, I admit, I know this OS. How do you know it ? I think you must be a fan of the theater.

The last stanza was the best, but there's no beating this Kristof Klassic!!!

(ABC) This had to be a difficult one to pull off, I know from personal experience a short song is often far more difficult than a long one.
Cat - February 06, 2008 - Report this comment
(ABC) Ergh....perhaps you should just wish that their "parts" just stop working, or fall off! Nice work.

ABC- Another experience I can relate to. But with me, it wasn't lack of sleep, it was jealousy over lack of sex. Very funny and well done Kristof.
