The Lyrics

It's fascinating what one can learn on the Internet while looking for OS lyrics, such as the fact that this OS was "...the first commercial release anywhere in the world to carry the Beatles name". Good Midi but incomplete lyrics here. More complete lyrics, plus several parody verses compiled by the Boy Scouts of America (start 'em parodying early - Love it!) here.
My son, he fights over the ocean
My daughter fights over the sea
The war was a terrible notion
O Bring back my children to me

Bring back, bring back,
O bring back my children to me, to me
Bush: wack; Smoke: crack
O bring back my children to me

Last night as I watched news on TV
Last night as I lay on my bed
I realized how Bush did deceive me
I hope that my kids are not dead

Bring back, bring back,
O bring back my children to me, to me
Don: sack; Dick: flack
O bring back my children to me

Why do we cause such a commotion?
Why try to force de-moc-racy?
Our soldiers still fight 'cross the ocean
Please, bring back my children to me

Bring back, bring back,
O bring back my children to me, to me
At-tack: Brain, lack;
O bring back my children to me

Our troops show unquestioned devotion
But sending them over the sea:
Not logic, Bush ruled by emotion
Just bring back my children to me

Bring back, bring back,
O bring back my children to me, to me
Iraq, go pack!
O bring back my children to me

In your case, the shelling isn't the weapon, it's the armor. But Bush is facing more rhetorical "incoming" than he can handle... not that he ever tried before, the coward! Five "Wizard of Oz medals" for your own courage.

Well said, 555. Oh, and to answer your question from my "Verse Chorus Verse" parody, I live in Indiana(Others on the message boards here thought I was from Japan too, but mainly because of my username "Step-chan").

Stephen Harrington, thanks... AFW, thanks :) :) ... Kat, thanks, but please see below... Larry Hensley, thanks.

Michael Pacholek, carol, and Kat, I realize now that there may have been a misunderstanding. Most of the contents of my parodies, such as having sex with sheep, with dominatrices, and with my sister, are the veriest truth, but this one is not. I do not have any children involved in the war. The parody was written from the POV (point of view) of anyone who does, and on their behalf (as well as the behalf of anyone else who shares the senitment).

I apologize for the confusion. I should have included a disclaimer to that effect. Anyone who wants to delete their favorable comments and/or votes is welcome to do so.

Such an obvious parody title when you think about it, and you did it first, who said turtles are slow? :-P
Kat - April 29, 2006 - Report this comment
Sorry, i relized the idiocy of my remark just as i submitted it.

Peter Andersson a.k.a K1chyd, thanks... I think we've all had those moments of looking at someone's else songs and saying, "Why didn't I...." .... I know I have.

Kat, it wasn't idiotic. Other AIRheads do have loved ones in the sevice, in Iraq or elsewhere (RD for example)... sometimes parodies do reflect our own views/situations etc. Thanks again.
