ON MY LIFE (Rosette is in a garden)

It’s odd that I’ve now found a dad who’s come to me
And changed our world so much as anyone can see.
But is that a problem, Rosette?
The fact I’ve only had my mum?
Too many times I’ve feared
What I could soon become.

I’ve often asked the question who am I
But never found out.

There are dreams that I’ve had in my waking
But in truth they’ve all come to nowt!
And I dream
Of a time when I’m on my own
In a house, in a place far away,
All quite alone!

Does mum know I am here?
Haven’t seen her of late.
Does she know how I feel?
Does she know how I feel?

I’ve a dad now for sure
Who could affect my life
Who could now help me out, show me how!

You’re such a lovely girl.
I’m thinking how grown up you now are.
And if only I could have my way
You’d never go away.
And when your mother gets the all-clear
She can come and join us here.

Since you came through that door
Of the man who you are,
What you were once before?
Now you haven’t said much,
And in fact rather dumb
As to where you have been
And then why you left mum?
Is it really that bad
Is it really so sad?

Who doesn’t know her mind.

She has entered my world like an angel,
A goddess to me.
A new life could begin
And my old one be over,
It’s something I couldn’t foresee.
Catherine, you’re my good friend who knows this girl
Without you I’d be lost as a sheep
And out of this world!
Now I wait to find out if she’ll fall in my lap…
