Hello, what have we here?
I love this pretty garden.
You’ve done Rosette so proud,
And I’m now back with you.

Connor
Is that you, my Annie?
I just hope you will stay
For the rest of my life.

(Rosette and Catherine stroll into the garden, hand in hand)
Rosette
Mother, father, you’re both together now!
Are you OK? It’s been so very long.

Connor
Rosette, my girl, my fault was that I left,
But now, thank God, we’re back where we belong.

Annie
The fault was mine when I lost what we had;
The fault was mine not turning to your dad.
At first he took, then started giving,
And quite soon he came back, gave comfort to me.
Rosette, your father saved our lives.
When they threw us out
He quickly found somewhere to live,
Gave all he could give,
And saved you from that school!

Connor
Now you’re all here, all here together.
Now the future is bright
And the world is at peace.

Rosette
And I hope you all are happy for me,
Because soon, quite soon, I’ll need to go.

Connor
Yes, Rosette, your meaning well I know.
So be it, be it so.
At this hour I’m sitting here and thinking
Of a time when I was cast in prison.
But the truth is, although I’d never met you,
I could have lost my whole life through
Had I not had a vision.
(All gather round Connor)

Annie
I will stay and promise not to nag you.
All your sins at last are well behind you.
We’re in Heaven,
And you’re our guardian angel!

Connor
I thank you all for being so kind,
It’s time for celebration!
