Here is my tribute to Pokemon Go and all of the crazy dangerous issues that players get into with this game...
Geeks will cheer
Butterfrees appear
Made-up critters are filled with fear
Up on your roof we will climb
So they're near and we'll cling
Sandshrew, Raichu, Geodude
More balls we'll fling
At these things on our phone screens
All of your games are mundane
Ours are obscene!
All... us... nerds... are such loons
As we wreck ancient tombs
Since we're searching for Slowpokes in the shrine
We're up high on the trees
Splat when there's a breeze
When we're picking off Pidgeys in the pines
Into pits we're jumping
To catch us a Mr. Mime
But when those gators eat us
You think it's a waste of time

Security code's 5FU so obviously 5s For U. But haven't all you players caught them all yet? There's still some on the loose? :-)
As of Aug 2016, there have been reported thousands of accidents playing this game and at least 2 people have died (1 in US shot to death in a SF park and 1 in Japan hit by a driver playing the game). In Taiwan, a hunt for a Snorlax caused mobs to flood streets!
Funny parody. The Pokemon games are fun, I've played some of them, but I haven't tried and don't get the appeal of Go as it seems to remove the immersiveness of it being its own world
my foray in the Pokemon Go fad was late and short lived...but this was a very fun parody. You used the Pokemon names to great effect. Maybe my only (tiny) nitpick, is that I'm kind of a stickler for changing rhymes of the original songs...so changing the lines to not rhyme with "park" kinda stood out for me (in a not good way). Other than that, excellent job!
Funny how Abbott does not find direct changes to rhymes appealing. I oftentimes find keeping original rhymes can be a crutch...it can be hard to think outside the box. Points to Matty for pursuing the parody that way (better than I could have).
(Artistry) I really wish I could play this game, being a Pokemon fan who could use the exercise. Alas, my phone is five years old and can't run it. Still, I've got stories from my brother and fantastic parodies like this to tide me over. I loved how you referenced enough Pokemon without coming off as a list parody. 555 wasted Pokeballs!
The game does sound interesting as long you don't get yourself hit by a car.
