Parody Song Title:

"Please No Karaoke"

Parody Written by:

Rick Duncan

The Lyrics

What real musicians fear...........
Please no karaoke
In my favorite bar
Just keep the folks singing
In shower or car

I know it's the rage now
For drunks and Japan
But this is the U.S.
So let's pass a ban

Enough with the oldies
All sung way off-key
There ain't enough liquor
To improve it for me

The cats by my back fence
Sing much more in tune
I'm hoping this torture
Will end very soon

They can't find the lyrics
That past their eyes scroll
I guess double vision
Is taking it's toll

So when you go drinking
And enter a bar
If there's karaoke

(spoken really fast)
Don't let the door hit you in the ass as you're getting the hell out of there and going someplace else.......

(back to singing)
Even if it's real far

Loved it, Rick...although I am a closet Karaoke addict....but it's OK, I'm getting treatment, I'm down to one Bon Jovi song a week. 555

That reminds me of what I saw at bbc.co.uk sometime: Sing, sing along get very drunk, and try to get it wrong. When I read this parody, it seems to me that it's like: Sing, sing along all I'm giving you is: three fives for this song!
