Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Have Yourself a Merry Little Guilt Trip

Have yourself a merry little guilt trip
Let your heart be blue
From now on,
Our troubles will be all because of you

Have yourself a merry little guilt trip
Make the Yuletide gray
From now on,
Our problems are here to stay.

Here we are as in olden days
Shameful, sad days of yore
All our friends who don’t hear us
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years
We all will be together
If my health allows
Hang a load of blame upon the highest bough
And have yourself….a merry little guilt trip now!

Nice idea (and a super title sub), but you could possibly have done a bit more with it

I also liked the title sub and the idea, but think you could have spent a bit more time on it. As one point, you use the original song a lot, which isn't necessarily bad, but the more you can change up and make your own, the better IMO. Also, in some areas your words don't match the original, but that could be fixed very easily:

'shameful, sad days of yore' could be changed to 'shameful, saddened days of yore' so that it fit with the original

Also, 'All our friends who DO NOT hear us'

Keep writing, and have a good holiday

Picky, picky, picky. The OS was short and the short ones are the best.
