The Lyrics

Sunday May 16. Suddenly fourteen buses pull up in front of the private residence of a Bank of America executive in a Maryland suburb of Washington. 500 screaming, sign-waving, bullhorn-toting S.E.I.U. and N.P.A. demonstrators mob the porch and front yard of the house and carry out a very vocal and angry protest. The owner and target - a former member of the CLINTON administration and advisor to Hillary Clinton - was not home. His ten year old child was, but no matter. This intimidation largely was not covered by the media, and the police did nothing to stop it. Well, now we know who's running the country! ;D

We're coming to your place. We're S.E.I.U.
We're getting in your face, 'cause that's what we do.

We're here in alliance with the N.P.A.
We're screaming defiance! Don't get in our way!

We'll bring fourteen buses and trample your grass.
We'll cause lots of fusses. We're here to harass!

With five hundred fully - so angry and bold,
We'll frighten and bully your kid ten years old.

If this was St. Louis it would be so grand,
For then you could view us beat up the Flag Man.

We're chanting and yelling and waiving our fists,
But there's something telling - a fact we have missed.

This bum's not the big guy. He's no C.E.O.
But we never ask why as louder we grow!

The police won't be here! No permit we need!
We have something better - we've got Andy Reed!

He's Obama's crony, so all of us know,
'Though this scene is phony, we're endorsed by O.

The uproar that we made will keep you cruds vexed.
So be very a-fraid, or else YOU'LL be next!

Do I remember that Nancy Pelosi accused the town hall protests and Tea Party as being organized mayhem rather than spontaneous grassroots indignation? Could this be yet another exercise in the art of Chicago politics? Where is the one-bomber? ;D

Come on now. The actions of the "protestors" were harsh and possibly criminal (trespassing? harrassment?) but the fact that they happened does not mean they were endorsed by the President.

And who is Andy Reed? I googled the guy and got nothing but hits about the Eagles coach.

McKlidge - Ohoh! Is my face red! Andy STERN is the former SEIU President who visited the White House more than anybody during the Obama presidency. Andy Reid is the innocent coach of the Eagles..I'll have to give up either sports or politics to avoid confusion. As for your other observation, fair enough. Politicians are always plagued by backers whose they would not necessarily endorse. Anyway...thanks for the 4s despite the obvious flaws.

I'm so rattled I even misspelled your screen name. ;D

You can replace "need" with "earned" and "Reed" with "Stern" and it still kinda works. But I didn't vote. Someone else left the 4s.
