The Lyrics

This Christmas, the usual three kings (Melchior, Caspar, and Balthasar) have been replaced by another trio of monarchs. The N.B.A.'s Miami Heat now boasts the talents of three magnificent stars...LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. If they can keep their egos in check, this could be the most memorable lineup in pro basketball history. If not, look for chief executive Pat Riley to return as coach to clean some extremely high-priced clocks! If they only played for the other Florida N.B.A. franchise, the Christmas connection would be complete. They'd be...The Orlando Magi! ;D

(All three)
We three stars are now with the Heat,
And our team no one can defeat.
Driving, scoring, dunking, bor-ing!
No one else can compete.
Sooo...just...
Buy your tickets, see us play.
No three guys are are great this way.
Lots of ego - watch as we go
To the top of N.B.A.

(LeBron)
I'm LeBron - at last I have come.
In Cleve-land - they call me a bum.
Did no college, who needs know-ledge!
I'll beat you like a drum.
I'm...tops...
No one else can make that claim.
Ditched Cleveland but feel no shame.
Just want one thing - must get my ring!
I'm the best man in the game.

(Dwayne)
I'm Dwayne Wade - I'm gifted and wise.
I'm the face of this proud franchise.
Made the trip - won my cham-pi-on-ship.
Not sure I need these guys.
Oh...well...
I can dunk and I can score,
If those two don't hog the floor.
Of us big trees - my Miami's
Only team that I've played for.

(Chris)
I'm Chris Bosh - I'm great, what the heck.
Spent one season at Georgia Tech,
Then went pronto - to To-ron-to.
Opponent players I wreck.
Watch...me...
Six-eleven, willowy,
But here I'm just one of three.
Bring enforcement - but endorsements
Never seem to come to me.

(All three)
Each of us - a Three Musketeer,
Bringing hope but causing some fear.
It'd be fright'ning - if we're fight-ing
When playoff time is near!
Pray...we...
Play as one and show some class,
Not just shoot but screen and pass.
Keep it smiley - or Pat Riley
Will return and kick our *ss!

Note: The last word of the third line in each verse is elongated with multiple notes, as I've tried to indicate. ;D

Interesting comparison...but, of course, your 3 kings make lots more cash than the originals.

You know that Pat Riley is just looking for an excuse to save the franchise and come back to coach, but right now the Heat appear to have their act together under Eric Spoelstra. Oh, well done, OMR!
