The Lyrics

Tired of the White House image of confrontational corrupt crony Chicago politics, President Obama has settled on a permanent replacement for departed chief of staff Rahm Emanuel. The new man is William Daley, son of longtime Chicago mayor and political boss Richard J. Daley! The style will be different, but the substance will remain the same. In short, here is more change that we can believe. ;D

Won't you come here, Will Daley? Come work for me,
Because I've lost Rahm-bo.
Dead Fish has left me stranded - I'm all alone.
He's back in Chi-ca-go.
They say you're an "outsider" - moderate too.
It's good that they can't hear us laugh!
You learned how to be mean - from your dad's proud ma-chine.
Will Daley, be my chief of staff.

Won't you come here, Will Daley? You'll bring us class,
Because Dead Fish is gone.
With you in Rahm's place, Daley - I've traded up.
A "hit man" for a "Don"!
You're even more Chicago - than 'Chelle and I,
More Chi-town than we two by half.
I can't say it plainer - Help me wreck John Boehner!
Will Daley, be my chief of staff.

Maybe we should change the name of the White House to Sweet Home Chicago! ;D

OMR, you beat me to TOS (no hard feelings), as well as to the "plainer/Boehner" couplet that I still might use in a parody of "It's You" from "The Music Man". Fine work 5s

Strictly speaking, Chicago only has 50 wards (legislative districts), but Chicagoans have long considered Washington, DC their 51st ward. That consideration is close to being a reality today. Great title sub and very good spoof, OMR.

Nice rhyming scheme, and it fit perfectly with the subject. I guess you could him a, er, Chicago dog?!

With the failing political system (and it does not surprise me in the least why.) We can't help but poke fun and laugh at it anymore. Great parody OMR! 555! ;-D
