The Lyrics

The Obama/O'Reilly interview on Super Sunday had a certain Alice In Wonderland quality. Less than two years ago, Obama slammed Fox New repeatedly and even designated White House staff member Anita Dunn ('memba her?) to attack and destroy this network. What is different now? In substance, belief, and policy - absolutley nothing. In style - everything. Gone is the Chicago mentality and in-your-face Saul Alinsky tactics so prized by militant unions and the radical left. In its place is suave professional political posturing. Remember - just because Mr. Obama has learned to act like a president rather than a community organizer, all the policies remains in place. ;D

Who is this man who's in the White House?
He's been there since last November.
This guy is gentle as a field mouse,
Not like the dude that we remember.
Hope's gone but here comes the change.
Same agenda - that part is strange.
So "Red State" he'll join the Grange.
Here comes the great Obama Fake-Out!

The left despairs. Their friend of Bill Ayres
Now speaks those words of high treason.
But it's just fluff - they'll see soon enough -
For two-thousand-twelve is the reason.
Got rid of words that left scars,
But still governing through his czars.
Be nice to the Fox News stars.
It's all the Great Obama Fake-Out!

He'll schmooze the Chamber for business "cred"
'Though union buds are complaining.
He'll tout his moderate stance instead -
At least for the two years remaining.
O.'s been centrist all life long?
Just watch him prove old Abe Lincoln wrong.
"Fool All - All The Time" - his song.
The hymn of the Obama Fake-out!

Famous American proverb - "Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - Yes We Can!". ;D

Again, this vote is based on performance rather than content. I don't know who you were looking at these last 2 years, but President Obama was acting much more like someone from "Hang loose" Hawaii than the South Side of Chicago, "the baddest part of town." Too many cave-ins, not enough fight. If there is a radical wing of heaven, Saul Alinsky is VERY disappointed in him.

That was one strange interview.

I'd say that you really *nailed* Obama, but under the circumstances (TOS), that might be, uh, sacrilegious". So let's just say that O can't disciple who he is; his past is a heavy cross to bear; and it's going to take a miracle to resurrect both the country and his image. 555 lashes for your "crucial fiction" (and 555 more to TT for a Gawd-awful pun). .

I love the title switch! And the well-crafted parody. :)

@ MP: "Cave-ins"? Caved in to whom? To Pelosi? To Reid? To the 2-year Democratic majority, which assisted him in pushing through overwhelmingly unpopular (and possibly unconstitutional) legislation time and again? No, Mr. Pacholek, President Obama is *not* a victim of partisanship or forced concession. He's a supremely unqualified, inexperienced, woefully naive piece of political puffery who is beginning to be revealed as the charlatan he's always been. Bad policy is neither Democratic, Republican, nor anywhere in between-- it's just bad policy. What we need is a leader who has a strong vision for America rather than an ego-driven narcissistic fantasy of securing his own legacy at the expense of our, and our children's, security and future.
