Original Performer:

Traditional

Parody Song Title:

"Curb Stomp Waltz"

Parody Written by:

Andria

The Lyrics

A gangsta rap-themed take on an early 20th-century waltz. Spoken preface omitted in parody. Original song was commissioned by Anheuser-Busch in 1904 as an early form of advertising for Budweiser beer and is commonly attributed to pioneering recording artist Billy Murray.

Original song here.
Standin' by the street here in old East L.A.,
kingpin rolls by in his new Escalade
Fired my Glock right on through his windshield, I want him dead, and quite soon he'll be killed.

Pulled him from the front seat, threw him on the ground,
on hood of Escalade, his head I did pound

Turned his pockets out, lots of C-notes pulled out

In left ear, I shout “You're gonna die!”

Hey, dude, you will be dying soon, on this old East L.A. curb,

Please now, bite the concrete for me, I'll stomp your head on the curb

On your back head, I just stomped, your skull, it's shattered now, GAAAH!

Cops, SWAT, sirens are blaring, blue lights are flashing, oh god
Shot me, nonlethal round, got maced and bit by a dog
San Quentin-bound, I am, gas chamber, that is where my life will end
This was not worth it, just for a rash violent crime

I do lots of old songs...but I guess, this is a real chestnut...My pc's so slow I couldn't load up the original melody...This isn't "This Bud's For You" is it?...anyway, interesting idea and parody

Thanks, AFW... this song is from the early 1900s (I think "This Bud's For You" is from the 40s or 50s, maybe the 60s, I'm sure it predates "Here Comes the King"/"You've Said It All", which is from the 70s). The chorus goes "Come, come, come and make eyes with me under the Anheuser bush, come, come, drink some Budweis with me, under the Anheuser bush, hear the old German band...). A date of drinking in a beer garden and listening to oompah music wouldn't go over well with most people nowadays, but I'd enjoy it.

Yeah...I was able to get to the original lyric and read it...Being from the midwest, Nebr.. I'm familiar with the old German oopah music..also lots of polka music out there..I don't sip the suds, anymore...but I know what you're talkin' about.

Back for the first time on this site for now! Can't believe I missed this one and even I didn't notice that you made a comeback because I've been taking a good long absence from this site due to work and things to take care of! Funny OS and interesting, but criminal satire, which I do find enjoyable! Reminded me of one of those Investigative Report type of programs me and my mom watch on TV. This kind of violence occurs also in Newark, Orange, and other towns in NJ (I live near there, unfortunately) as well as the Bronx and New York City. But great work and enjoyed your satire lots. 555.

Thanks, CMM. I have still been quite busy as well as kind of f***ed up in the head from a temporary medication change, but I got the idea for this from reading through AFW's parodies while "Cops" was turned on and combining an old song with a fairly fresh theme. I have personally never known of curb stomping in my area, but it *does* happen in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles and in your area, usually as a gang crime. It is nearly always fatal. Thank you for v/c.
