The Lyrics

A lot of people have theorized that if the Rapture came, they would be left behind. Suppose Rev. Camping was correct, just that no one was found in sufficient state of grace to make the journey?
If the Rapture came and no one went
Doesn't mean it didn't happen
Just that there were none among the just
When the angels came a-rappin'

If the trumpet blows and no one goes
It doesn't mean he "blew" it
He looked into the hearts of men
And sin was there, He knew it

Well the preacher said to God, quite bold
"I will set the hour for Thee"
When the day unrolled, as he foretold
He was counted yet unworthy

Some day the Earth will pass away
Only God knows when He'll do it
That doesn't stop those warlike men
Who try to beat Him to it

For the world is full of lust and greed
And every sort of violence
When the moment came as He decreed
He was awesome in His silence

End times come and end times go
This should be our motivator
One day the forecast will come true
And we'll meet with our Creator
It was 6 p.m. on the 22nd of May, not the 21st. But for the people of Joplin, Missouri, the world did come to an end.

Speaking of not being in a state of grace, Camping the con artist is now telling us that it's all over as of 10/21. On 10/31, I'll be tricking or treating in my Camping-vamping costume. Good parody, BTW.

Interesting supposition..Although with all these super charges of nature, E4 and E5 tornados, extreme flooding, and excessive volcanic ash..Kind a' makes one wonder if this might not be the prelude to some slow motion Armageddon

Even during times of war, tsunamis, earthquakes and tornadoes, people will still eat, go to jobs if they have them, and do all the other things that humans do. My Biblical scholars tell me the Tribulation is supposed to last seven years. It doesn't say that those who are "Left Behind" will be exempt from the daily necessities. I don't know how many people in Joplin, Missouri believed in Rev Camping's prophecies, but I can only imagine what they might have felt had the tornado struck 24 hours earlier.
