O clueless town of Washington,
You choose to ignore our hurt.
To your great shame you just fix blame
And only hurl slime and dirt.
The country's broke - there's no work.
Yet you don't see our strife.
For all you there have just one care:
To hold your jobs for life.

One side wants smaller government.
Less spending and tax they pitch.
The others blare for class warfare:
Let's soak all those evil rich!
Two policies in conflict
And none will give an inch.
Yet while you pose you won't see those
At home caught in a pinch.

'Though things are swell in Washington,
Outside there is much despair.
You've got it made, you're highly paid
With good jobs are free health care.
The country's in a ferment.
You'd better heed the call.
Don't be remote, for when we vote
We'll just say "Screw 'em all"!
