The Lyrics

Often touted as the Japanese version of the German Me-262 jet fighter, the Nakajima Kikka (Orange Blosson) was instead an indigenous aircraft that only looks similar to the Me-262 due to technology transfers of photos of the German jet and jet engines. In fact, the Kikka was to be a fast bomber carrying a 1000 lb bomb. It was smaller that the Me-262, flew slower at 433 mph vs 540 mph, had weaker Ne-20 engines, and had a slower climb. Altitude and range were similar. This project started in September 1944, but by August 1945 only the first prototype took to the skies. It later crashed and the entire program was delayed. When Japan surrendered there were 2 prototypes plus 18-20 aircraft under construction. The real Me-262 fighter version was the Nakajima 201 Karyu (Fire Dragon) that was under assembly... it had been originally planned to use the Kikka to kill B-29s, but the jet engines lagged behind and so its mission was changed to fast bomber. In this parody I am using it instead of the Karyu as a fighter/interceptor version...
