The Lyrics

DKTOS?
At least you should know the tune...
Birthed child now future king
He’s such a tiny thing
To him we sing
Hope he won’t off our heads
Cry lots, or wet the bed
Hope they won’t name him Ted
Or name him Dean.

Lad, he has Katie’s eyes
Smile like Will’s no surprise
May ears stay small
Royals have bred again
Gene pool, though, mighty thin
Re-sults are just prelim
Pray he’s not mean

Grow in your regal home
Pre-pare for regent throne
You’ll ne’er be poor
Don’t rule like Genghis Khan
Least while you’ve diapers on
Don’t chafe, wear soft chiffon
Be smart dressed lord.

Keep royal profile low
Or paparazzi pro
Will print your deed
Stay clear of tramps, my friend
Don’t show your kingly end
Keep features neat and trim
And don’t smoke weed.

Smart merchants stock their stores
Trinkets to sell to hordes
Great wealth you bring
Boost to economy
Here starts your odyssey
Your life on BBC
God save pre-king

Fine work, but I would add this stanza:

When will he have a name?
It cannot be the same
As recent kings.
Since he will be the third
In line for throne, I heard,
We'll all be dead before there's word
The fat lady sings.

Since Kate is a commoner, the gene pool (this time around) isn't as shallow as usual.

Sir Warren, well done, so I hereby grant Thee three 5s! You may now rise!

BarryM- thanks for the comment and the stanza. And the name appeared today: George Alexander Louis...sounds like a GAL's name...
SteveK- Apparently they are related as distant (12th) cousins. Their common ancestor is Sir Thomas Leighton, former evil governor of Guernsey. I wonder if Kate had a cow when she found out...
Rob- Thank you, sir.

Edgy stuff, Warren. Loved the ears ref - there goes your knighthood, mate.
You have to cut his grandpa some slack though - spent his whole life in a goldfish bowl training for a job he could never have; dismissed as politically irrelevant every time he opened his mouth, and upstaged by his other half in the popular killing fields. His looks and dour demeanor didn't help much.

I hope they do name him Ted, or Dean, or Jack, or why not Mo! ;-)

LL- Glad you caught the ear reference. And though Charles may never get the kingship, he'll always have Camilla...I guess that's a consolation.
PeterA- King Mo has a nice ring to it!
