Parody Song Title:

"The Mighty Mightor"

Parody Written by:

Robert D. Arndt Jr.

The Lyrics

This was part of a 1960s cartoon by Hanna-Barbera titled "Moby Dick and the Mighty Mightor" which ran from 1967-69. It featured a cave boy and his pet winged dinosaur who rescued an old man who gave him a magic club. When raised skyward Tor becomes an ancient superhero Mightor and Tog becomes his mighty dragon. Together they protect Pondo the Chief and his sexy daughter Sheera as well as Tog's people from all threats.
The Mighty Mightor
Raised his club up to the clouds
A surge of power
And onto Tog he mounts
Raiders on the loose
To capture Sheera again
But the Mighty Mightor
Brings their terror to an end
Energy bolts flying
And the flames of the dragon

Fights:
The Bird People
The Tiger Men
The Serpent Queen
Barbarians
Korg, Sea Slavers
Tribe of Witchmen
Fire people, Tusk people
Plant people
And the Scorpion...

But he never loses!

I'm old enough to remember watching this. Fun fact: it was created after a fall out with Stan Lee over a Mighty Thor Hanna-Barbera collaboration. So, HB merely made up the Mighty Mightor instead. Instead of the hammer, it became a club and Mightor wore a horned helmet. For the time, like the Herculoids, it was weird, yet fun.

I dont remember Mighty Mightor. Maybe I was growing out of cartoon watching by 1967. After all, I did turn 22 that year.

Multiple polls indicate that an average 32% of American adults (male, female, married, single) watch old, current, G to Adult rated (non-pornographic) cartoons. 69% of young adults also play video games. Neither has anything to do with maturity levels, but entertainment values. Btw, no one will be judged on cartoon watching at either Resurrection (Bema of Christ or Great White Throne Judgements). Salvation is it. You either have it or not. The personal rewards or loss of for a Believer is based on what you did with salvation for the kingdom and the state of your heart. Watching cartoons is no sin. Please don't quote scripture out of context. Maturity in the Word is most often associated with spiritual maturity.

Watching cartoons is no sin, but a mind is a terrible thing to waste. I'll tell you what is a sin: belief based on no evidence, no critical thinking, no facts. Personal rewards come with positive contributions to the general well-being here on Earth and usefulness to one's fellow man, not on selfish, anxious dreams of heavenly salvation and nonsensical jargon. And you know what you can do with polls and mass tastes!

And how exactly would you know what anyone here has done personally for the betterment of mankind or his brother? I help people. I occasionally watch cartoons too. I am also a student concerned with particle physics, cosmology, and establishing a permanent presence on Mars. All you are doing is judging people. Act like an adult yourself.

And here are more judgments: Congratulations, Question Mark. But shall we overlook your last comment wherein you judged that Blacks should own their evil?
As for Rob, you recently wrote two parodies dripping with hatred for Kathy Griffin. You encouraged your readers to hate her, too. Is not KG one of God's creatures? Is this an example of your spiritual maturity? Is this the path you have taken to Salvation?
What we have here are a racist troll and a Bible-thumping hypocrite!
Jonathan - June 07, 2017 - Report this comment
^ yes, KG is one of God's creatures. know who else is? Satan! (fallen angel) are we supposed to support her wanting to behead the president, then claiming to be the victim when anybody dares say "boo" to her?
Rob Arndt - June 07, 2017 - Report this comment
Thanks Jon, but I got this one. First of all, salvation doesn't eliminate one's sin nature. Man is fallible. Only Jesus lived a perfect sinless life and used His divine blood shed on the cross to become the sacrificial Lamb of God. Of course, He was born of a virgin so as not to have an inherited sin nature. Remember the bumper sticker: Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven? How true. You won't find any sinless people anywhere on earth. "For there are none righteous, no not one." Second, there is not only the evil of Satan and the fallen ones in this world but man's own evil ever since the fall of mankind which produces evil people. In the OT, YHWH ordered the Israelites to KILL these people! In the NT, Jesus preaches love and forgiveness, but that doesn't eliminate God's holiness and righteousness either. We put to death criminals who slaughter; we kill terrorists and in wartime kill the enemy. Kathy Griffin is an u apologetic (her press conference was a lie) abomination of a woman and comedienne. She is unrepentant and seeks to harm a child. She not only represents evil but is evil. Let someone else pray for her soul, it just won't be me. Yes, Jesus loves KG as he did with Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Saddam, Gadhafi, etc... but they never changed nor wanted too. Kathy laments losing her job and endorsements only. Boo hoo! Lastly, no one merits salvation nor can earn it by works. It's a gift of God, lest any man should boast. You either have it or you don't. The rapture will prove this. I am not perfect nor ever will be. But I know who Jesus is. Case closed.

Both Rob and Jonathan are testifying. Well, isn't that special? Kathy is in the same league as Hitler. How con-VEEN-ient! Who put the love of war and weapons into Rob's heart? Who sentenced Jonathan to a lifelong sugar high? Now, who could it be? Could it be ... Satan? "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven." We like ourselves, don't we?

Your mocking in no way invalidates the Word of God or any Believer's standing spiritually. As for my historical and personal interest in all things German and including the Third Reich- so what? There are many historians, writers, and ex-WW2 vets that admire Nazi technology and fighting methods but are opposed to the ideology and Holocaust. I write to my strength as a TR specialist. I also write about just about anything. Your labeling of me does not make it true. If I became a left-wing SJW would I become a Communist? Of course not. And judging Jon is uncalled for. He's a great guy.

Comments like this are of no value. Sorta like those that make fun of comic book collecting as adults. Turns out the top 10 comics ever sold range from a low $325,000 to $3.2 million for Action Comics #1 featuring Superman! Other "toys" sell the same. Even these old cartoons on disc sell for upwards of $50+ . Collectors know these things. I once invested in Bild Lilli dolls that predate Barbie and made thousands of dollars from an initial $600. I've sold the all-metal pre-orange tip airsoft KSC Auto 9 from RoboCop for $400 in a gun case for an investment of $85 ordering from Japan and sending ¥. So you made yourself look like a fool because you are ignorant, not that you can't spell! Now run along and troll somewhere else...

A simple single animation production sketch of Ariel goes from $200-500! Just ONE sketch! Yes, you can make money off merchandise, especially the highly collectable ones. Oh, and there's talk of a live action "Thundarr the Barbarian" movie! Maybe you don't like old, nostalgic cartoons, but others do. Here, it's just a parody topic taken to ridiculous levels.

Thanks, Rob. I'll check that "Thundarr" video you linked out! I don't understand the negative attitude towards animation. I mean, Looney Tunes were originally created with an adult audience in mind! so what if kids took to 'em? I see nothing wrong with some good entertainment that anyone, of any age can enjoy. There are cartoons that provide laughter and enchantment for adults: the Disney and Warner Bros. classics, The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc. Most modern cartoons (and movies) are mass-designed for kids, teenage boys, and the army of adults with arrested development or with real lives from which they must habitually escape. Because I am a dad, I have had to watch a ton of dreck – badly written and drawn. TV cartoons are designed for the demographic which fuels the demand for Whoopie-Crunchy breakfast cereal. Everything made for mass entertainment is produced not for art's sake, but to sell a product. In particular, the links provided to Thundarr in this thread lead to something terminally dull.

Didn't Hanna Barbera have a toon with an alligator called Wally Gator? I seem to recall that as well as some other odd characters including a snickering dog and a pink cat that was a lion, not the pink panther! Golly, it's been ages!

^ It might interest you to know that Mr. Arndt had two comments censored from this thread. They contained nothing more than beautiful quotes from 1 Corinthians. He did not censor another quote he apparently approved of. Apparently, he takes his Bible a la carte. Censorship of religious speech? That's a double whammy against the First Amendment.

Actually, Blaspheming Harry, it doesn't interest me in the slightest to know that Arndt had two pieces of your Bible-referencing trollery removed from the comment section. On the other hand, loved how you worked the free exercise clause into the deletion. You sure there isn't an Establishment Clause infringement here as well? As long as we're just making sh*t up, maybe you can find a violation of Third Amendment's proscription against the involuntary quartering of soldiers

Buttinsky, it doesn't interest me in the slightest that what I wrote doesn't interest you in the slightest. Glad you appreciate my creative interpretation of The Bill of Rights; Arndt's selective censorship of quotations from the Christian Bible is indeed an infringement of the Establishment Clause, being the first step in his long-held goal of establishing Nationalsozialismus as the official state ideology!
I take it that you are against the involuntary quartering of soldiers, but solidly in favor of drawing and quartering blasphemers.

NP HH, if you read the whole thread I wrote a large paragraph with scripture. I just didn't provide the exact chapters and verses! There are several people here who write about spiritual topics. There's Jesus Dude, me on occasion, and some anonymous one offs. Jon chimed in too. It's the assumption that bothers me. If it's about Germany or the TR, it's me. Republican politics or Christian stuff... could be anyone unless clarified! Here, it's just about an old cartoon that somehow was spun badly!
