The Lyrics

Back in my younger days when I went to Arabic school ... whenever we went on field trips to places like Mecca and stuff we'd while away the hours singing the title of this parody. It was a really good way to learn all the cute nicknames of the Islamic deity
99 Names of Allah for us all; 99 beautiful names
Ar Rahman! (The Most Merciful!!)
You'd take one down, proclaim it around
98 Names of Allah for us all

98 Names of Allah for us all; 98 Beautiful names
Al Aziz! (The Mighty)
You'd take one down, proclaim it around
97 Names of Allah for us all

97 Names of Allah for us all; 97 beautiful names
Al Jabbar (The One With the Sky Hook!!)
You'd take one down, proclaim it around
96 Names of Allah for us all

95 Names of Allah for us all, 95 beautiful names
Dhul Jalali Wal Ikram (He Of Justice and Mercy!)
If one of these names should fracture your brain
94 names of Allah for us all

94 names of Allah for us all; 93 beautiful names
Al Noor ( The Light)
You take one down, proclaim it around
93 names of Allah for us all

93 names of Allah for us all; 93 beautiful names
Al Kareem ( Al Jabbars first name!)
You take one down, proclaim it around
92 names of Allah for us all

92 names of Allah for us all, 92 beautiful names
AL Hakeem (The Dream Shaking One!!)
You take one down, proclaim it around
91 names of Allah for us all

Of course as we continued on in Arabic school, our language mullahd required us to sing the whole song in Arabic, so here we go ...*

99 Asma Allah li kullna
99 Asma Hosna (names of beauty)
Ar Rahman. (الرحمن)
Feh yakhuth minha, Al hamdu lilah
98 Asma Allah li kullna

98 Asma Allah li kullna
98 Asma Hosna
Al Aziz (العزيز)
Feh yakhuth minha, Al hamdu lilah
97 Asma Allah li kullna

97 Asma Allah li kullna
97 Asma Hosna
Dhul Jalali Wal Ikram (ذو الذلال والكرامة)
Mumkim na'len Al Asma
Li'anna In Sha' Allah*
96 Asma Allah li kullna

This BTW makes the fourth foreign language that Ive done a parody in, to include German Spanish and Russian, which may be an Amiright record .. * Perhaps we'll pronounce the names because it is Allah's will

I was trying to do a third segment where I would render the Arabic words into the Arabic quasi-alphabet, but the problems of texting a writing system that goes from left to right proved to be too much .. For some reason its almost impossible to delete a typo without deleting everything you just typed. And I was making typos all over the place.

WOW! You made quite a stellar stunning rewrite with this one. You do know that Allah/God also has SO MANY names and titles in every language around the world, don't you? YHWH, Jehovah, Jah, Brahman, Ahura Mazda, Shang-tri, Great Spirit, Dios, etc. And when I was in the Navy during the 80s, the US went to war with Libya, and I saw a comedy show on cable TV called 'Bizarre'. They had a skit about 'How Do You Spell the Name of the Libyan Dictator?'. 'Qaddafy, Qaddafi, Gaddafy, Ghadaffy, Quadaffy, Khaddafy, Kaddafi, Chicago, Chicano, Chicory, Cocaine, ......' LOL. I know that Romanizing the Arabic language can be a bit tricky. As an amateur astronomer, I know that many of the 6000-odd stars visible to the naked eye were catalogued by Arab astronomers and therefore have Arabic names.

There are two mostly proper ways to spell القذافي. in the Roman alphabet ... Al Gaddaafi and Al Qadhaafi. The first is the North African Arab dialect spelling and the second is the Standard Arabic spelling. Any spelling that had "K" or "Kh" at the start is flat out wrong, and so is any doubling of the third consonant "f". That never happens in Arabic
