Parody Song Title:

"Yank and Diddle"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

The names have been made up to protect the guilty.....
Catholic priest from my home town
Looking for diversion
Stuck an altar boy one day
I think that's called perversion

Yank and Diddle, keep it up
Lure them in with candy
Mind the local cops and press
And use whoever's handy

Father Brown came to my church
To preach religiously, lads
There we saw the men and boys
Utilizing kneepads

Yank and diddle......

There was Bishop Muckimuck
Cov'ring the cavorting
Sometimes things that are a sin
Are just not worth reporting

Yank and diddle.....

When the news and priests "came out"
There was much denial
Who'd have thought that banning sex
Creates a pedophile

Yank and Diddle.......
You know where to find us.

Kneepads... heh heh heh. This one really sucks. (Meaning it's good).

Rick - This is a riot, but a disclaimer should have been posted with this one stressing that there are only a few priests that are this way. It is unfair how the media coverage brands the entire church for the criminal activities of a deviant few.

Now that I got this off my chest let me congradulate you a very funny parody. This one is priceless.

Oooo, you naughty genius you. Clever. Every year my wife and I attend the Patriots Day parade in our home town, and every year band after band after band march by (many dressed like Paul Revere with tri-corn hats and those funny "breeches") playing "Yankee Doodle", until I inevitably start kvetching, "Oh no, not ANOTHER marching band playing Yankee Doodle !" But your parody is something completely different - cleverly done.

Guy, you are right. It's a very small pecentage of rotton apples. It's the fact the church kept it in the closet and covered it up for so long that made the press and public backlash so severe. Same thing for the tobacco companies.

JD - I have the answer to those patriot bands playing Yankee Doodle to death. Watch for it in tomorow's posting.

I always wondered what the 'men and boys' were doing with that 'hasty pudding'... Good job Rick!

excellent parody, and I see no need for an disclaimer. It's no secret that ALL RC priests aren't perverts, just a much-greater-than-average percentage. Putting PC disclaimers on everything is as dumb as putting warnings on cigarette packs. Anyone who doesn't know the harm they can do by age five has been asleep or retarded.
