"Rudolf The Red Nose Gangster"

Parody Written by:

Ashish The Ruler

The Lyrics

Rudolf the red nose Gangster,
Had a very shiny gun
And if you ever saw it,
You would even want to run.

One very foggy christmas eve,
Santa came and said
Rudolf with your gun so bright,
Will you shoot my wife tonight?

Rudolf the red nose gangster,
Shot santa's wife dead
And if you ever saw her,
She would have a hole in her head.

My 5 eurocents: I think this parody would have benefited from having Santa taken out of it completely. You could have used "Tony" for a subtle Sopranos reference, or "Sandy" for an alternative gender setup in the "contract" context. I donīt remember seeing your name here before so Iīm cutting you some slack with a 544.

Pacing was off (1) because it had a missing stanza and (2) the last stanza didn't fit the pacing. "Shot Santa's wife dead" is only five syllables, and the last line, "She would have a hole in her head" doesn't have the right number of syllables in the corresponding line of the orignial either. I'll either give a 2 or 3 for pacing; I haven't decided yet. And it wasn't all that funny either.

oooh, I wrote something like this back in the early '80s that I didn't even remember I wrote! My inspiration, of all things, was from an episode of "Mandrell Sisters Variety Hour" (with Barbara Mandrell and family)...song to be submitted shortly the title is "Rudolph the Crazy Gunman".. Compare and contrast if you wish.

When I was growing up it was "Randolph The Bow-Legged Cowboy" and it was "Sherrif", not "Santa", that asked Randolph to shoot his wife.

These are the actual lyrics : Rudolph the red-nosed gangster Had a very shiny gun And if you ever saw it You would turn around and run All of the other gangsters Used to laugh and call him names They never let poor Rudolph Join in any poker games Till one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say " Rudolph with your gun so bright Won't you shoot my wife tonight ?" Then all the other gangsters Laughed and shouted out with glee Rudolph the red-nosed gangster You'll go down in history
