Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Alas, Harriet, we hardly knew ye, which is probably a good thing.
Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home
Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home

I looked there at Georgie and what did I see
Comin' from the state he calls home
The crony who's his latest nominee
Now she's gonna hafta go home

Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home
Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home

If Senators give you your due
Then you'll hafta get yourself home
You've figured out they ain't confirming you
Now you'd better get yourself home

Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home
Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home

He's sometimes up, but now he's down
Now he has to send the gal home
Please nominate a judge, not a clown
Harriet is gonna go home

Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home
Goodbye, Miss Harriet
Time for you to get yourself home

I bow low before you Oh writer of this excellent parody.555

I'm not bowing, Steve, but I strongly commend you for a clever portrayal of a nomination that was not Bush's finest moment.

I spit on you both, and in the face of the bigot who wrote this parody.

Interesting diversity of opinion there. So Ptui!, or however it's spelled, how does this parody make me a bigot? I am I a bigot because I want Bush to nominate someone who has actually some experience at being a judge? I am I a bigot because I called her a "crony", which just happens to be true? (I don't even have a problem with Miss Miers being W's friend, but that is no substitute for judicial experience.) If you've read some of my other parodies and comments, you'd find out that I'm actually more supportive of W than many others here on amiright. Am I a bigot now that for once, I disagree with him? Would you care to provide some facts and reasons to support your charge of bigotry?

PTUI: Python/Tkinter User Interface. Ptui is a Python development environment programmed entirely in Python which can be completely extended in Python. Each document has it's own execution namespace. Similar to Python modules (in fact, PTUI namespaces can be converted to modules using the modularize feature), namespaces allow for rapid development of code. When the buffer or selections within the buffer are executed, the namespace is immediately updated with the new code. A shell window allows for more interactive manipulation of the buffer's namespace. Changes made in the shell also affect the buffer's namespace.

Good parody, but, on the contrary: The fact that we hardly knew her was a good reason to question her fitness for the Supreme Court. The fact that the right wingnuts thought her insufficiently ideologically pure says more about them than about her. John J: Bush's finest moment was throwing a strike of a first pitch at the 2001 World Series. And I hope they fumigated that mound afterward. Kat: I don't feel sorry for her. You lie down with a dog, you're going to get fleas. I apologize to all the dog lovers, but that's the proper analogy. And, from reading "Peanuts," I was under the impression that it was, indeed, spelled "Ptui!"
