Parody Song Title:

"Aborting Some Bad Hombre Embryos"

Parody Written by:

eel deal

The Lyrics

Aborting some bad hombre embryos
Aborting some bad hombre embryos
is a positive thing to do
which only right-wingers deny
only right-wingers deny
only right-wingers deny

Aborting Adolf Hiter
would have been a good thing to do
It would have saved millions of lives
and been a pro-life thing to do
Only right-wingers deny that
Only right-wingers deny

When I hear anyone arguing for abortion, I feel a strong impulse to see it tried on him personally.

Agree with above comment. How would they like it if it had happened to them and they never got to live their lives

OMG, I know of endless numbers of people my age who would have never come into being if the current attitudes towards abortion and families were prevalent back then. My mother had COPD and asthma and yet had 9 babies. How many families would have gone on after the first girl baby (#4). Then she had two miscarriages after me (#6) and then three more in her late Thirties. These last three were distinct threats to her health, and in these days would have been certain candidates for non-existence ..... One Sister in Law was a surprise teen pregnancy who completely disrupted her parents educational plans .. a certain candidate for an abortion in these times.

In previous comment, #4 was my oldest sister. So the Q here is "How many couples nowadays would continue once they finally had a girl after 3 boys. I would say, in these times, less than 1%

someone please say that it's understandable to have an early abortion of an embryo that is the result of brutal gang rape of a 13 year old girl.
CML - May 22, 2023 - Report this comment
You're tossing out a straw man. There is absolutely no one on the right who is unsympathetic to this. Its just that this problem is dealt with within hours of the report of this event by sending the girl to an ER for treatment. And one of the remedial acts is always evacuation of semen from the vagina. ALWAYS! ... So the need for the abortion remedy should never come up, not in the USA at least. Why would this notional 13 year old delay reporting this event,or, at the very least seek treatment for it ... Now, a more difficult problem is incest, because the victim may believe she must hide the crime, so abortion may be the only solution. Why is why ALL states would carve out an exception for incest. Religious people can justify it by saying the act of procreation was sinful and illegitimate and that the mental health of the mother comes first

CML, a strawman is misrepresenting your opponent's argument - he's not doing that. Someone saying "Democrats want to allow abortion up to the end of the third trimester", now, that *would* be a strawman, right?

If your rose-tinted view of what happens after a gang rape always happens and always works, then what happens regarding abortion afterwards would be irrelevant, but he's not a misrepresenting what you're saying. The humane view would be "a pregnancy should not happen after something like that, but if it does we will be understanding"; deluding yourself that it never happens so any young girl in that position gets no understanding and is forced to carry her baby to term is frankly disgusting.

So Phil, did you not catch where I said, "this situation shouldn't come up, NOT IN THE USA AT LEAST". That's because Im aware of the Rotherham type horrors of systemic grooming and gang rapes of young white English girls by Muslims. So, in the case of England, I might be accused of rose colored outlook, by thats because of an unbelievable betrayal of the native population by the govt. .... In the US that hasnt happened so any rape incident of a preteen or adolescent girl would be noticed by the child's parent or teacher and would be reported. There would be a drastic change in the girls behaviour that would be noticed. I know because I raised a daughter who endured that year. And since we are talking about US law, the situation in the US is the only one that matters. And who are you to accuse me of lacking understanding of such a situation. I raised a daughter, how about you?
CML - May 23, 2023 - Report this comment
BTW, much of this discussion is moot as there is no state where a total ban on abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest or health of the mother would survive the legislative process or a governor's veto. The support for abortion in those instances is too widespread everywhere in the US. The question would always be how far along in the pregnancy do we draw the line for these exceptions
Phil Alexander - May 24, 2023 - Report this comment
CML, you're deflecting again, and why make it racist? Yes, there were groups of Muslims in Rotherham who did that sort of thing, but that behaviour is not unique to Muslim men (I believe the stats show that the proportions of men convicted for this sort of thing is pretty similar across race lines - and if you think grooming and gang rape hasn't happened in the US you are frankly far more simpleminded than even I would take you for). But that's irrelevant: you're really not very good at reading/understanding what people have written, are you?

Of course I read where you wrote "this situation shouldn't come up, NOT IN THE USA AT LEAST", because that was exactly what I was addressing: your naive belief that because it shouldn't, it doesn't. And on those occasions where systems fail victims (you really think your government organizations are perfect in this regard?) what kind of heartless sociopath would take the view that because it "shouldn't" happen, the child must be forced to carry her pregnancy to term? If the point is moot for the reasons you give, why did you call eel deal's comment a strawman, rather than simply agreeing?
eel deal - May 24, 2023 - Report this comment
the discussion sure isn't moot for the 10 year old Ohio rape victim forced to leave the state for an abortion, or for other Ohio rape victims who threatened suicide, or for women with cancer who couldn’t terminate their pregnancies and also couldn’t get cancer treatment while they were pregnant, or for women whose fetuses had severe abnormalities or other conditions that made a successful pregnancy impossible. They couldn’t get abortions in Ohio.
