Why They're Insincere:
Although at first it may sound as though 'how can that be when he's singing the song?' but the history behind this song is that it's taken from a book where the character actually did step on a landmine and lose all those things and more, so in fact, it's not all that insincere

I know It's supposed to represent what the person is thinking, but someone who doesn't understand that will probably say, 'Hey, if you've lost your speech, how are you singing this song?' and sooner or later I fugured someone was going to put this lyric up here...
