Why They're Nonsensical:
Apparently, "under the sea" as we see Sebastian singing about in the movie, is from a LAND-dweller's point of view! A real sea-dweller would rightfully refer "under" to what's BENEATH the ocean floor. Sebastian (or, realistically, the song's lyricist Howard Ashman) should have meant "INSIDE the sea"!
