The Lyrics:
Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming
We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
Four dead in Ohio
Why:
"Ohio" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (written by Neil Young) has an upbeat tempo, but deals with a very unpleasant event in U.S. history. The song itself was released only three weeks after the event it refers to: The killing of four students during a protest (therefore using their Constitutional rights) at Kent State University in Ohio by National Guardsmen while the students were protesting President Nixon's plans to extend the Vietnam War into Cambodia on May 4, 1970.
