"There Is No Arizona"
The Nonsensical Lyrics: There is no Arizona No Painted Desert, no Sedona
If there was a Grand Canyon She could fill it up with the lies he's told her Why They're Nonsensical: How do you fill the Grand Canyon with lies? And what does she mean by "If there WAS a Grand Canyon"? I guess it vanished off the face of the earth--along with the entire state of Arizona!

"God Don't Make Mistakes"
The Lyrics: Keep believin' .
God don't make mistakes. Why: If that's so, then God must have some perfect reason why it is better than otherwise to not have Jamie using correct grammar. The correct grammar would be "God DOESN'T make mistakes".

| "There Is No Arizona"
The Lyrics: If there was a Grand Canyon,
She could fill it up with the lies he's told her. Why: The lyrics are treating the existence of the Grand Canyon as "conditions contrary to fact", and that calls for the subjunctive mood, so it should be "If there WERE a Grand Canyon". Of course, there really IS an Arizona and a Grand Canyon. But in the lyrics taken at face value, the subjunctive form "were" is called for.

"There Is No Arizona"
The Lyrics: There is no Arizona,
No pained desert, no Sedona. If there was a Grand Canyon, She could fill it up with the lies he's told her. But they don't exist, those dreams he sold her. Why: Refers to the U.S. state of Arizona, and three places therein: the town of Sedona, the Painted Desert, and the Grand Canyon. All are real places, despite the song's title and lyrics.
