Story about this misheard lyric by: Damon Fordham When I was in second grade (1973), I did a drawing of a man dancing with his shoes colored with a rad crayon. When my friends asked what it was, I said, 'It's that song on the radio, 'Big Daddy with the red shows.' None of them had heard it, so I sang it. My art teacher, overhearing this, said, 'No, the song is 'Jim Dandy to the rescue!' Oh, well. I still get a smile of thinking about Big Daddy and his red shoes. |
