Misheard Lyrics: Go downtown, so discouraged
Don't know what to do Even Fred and all at once Out there troubles brew. Original Lyrics: Oftentimes, so discouraged
Don't know what to do Even friends and our loved ones They have their troubles too. | "Whereever There's A Will, There's A Way"

Story about this misheard lyric by: Sylvia Morris-Smith I had the opportunity to ask Lonnie Mack personally about the lyrics and he supplied the above. It was quite a relief after 30 years. He also signed my album w/ the original recording on it. I didn't notice at the time that he signed his name and dated it 1974. (It was 1998)Ah, how time flies. |
