in a cellophane dress Why They're Nonsensical: 1) Was it her or her lover that was wearing the cellophane dress? Since "lover" is closer to the modifier, one would assume that's who is wearing the dress...but it's "*her* lover", which would indicate the unspecified woman in this phrase. So it's still syntactically ambiguous. 2) I've never heard of a dress made of cellophane!
