Paul McCartney  Macca He claims that it stuck because he’s from Liverpool and people abbreviate everything in Liverpool  Dayna
Phil Regan The Singing [Irish] Cop Once a New York City Police Department detective who switched professions after working as a guard at a vaudeville party and showing off his singing and piano skills to partygoers that included a radio producer. George&GermaineBriantFan
Bob Marley  Skipper It’s apparently because of his soccer skills. Dayna
Dan Miller Solder https://tmbw.net/wiki/Monikers#Dan_Miller All-Starr
Marty Beller The Next President of the United States of America https://tmbw.net/wiki/Monikers#Marty_Beller All-Starr
Steven Van Zandt Little Steve It's apparently a nod to Little Richard. dayna
Charo The Cutchi Cutchi Girl Based on the Latina performer's catch phrase from the '70s and 80's Sheila Oh
Tico Torres The Hitman He's been drumming for Bon Jovi since the early days so his talent? I don't know but he's had it for a while. dayna
Shonen Knife Little Evas of the East Shonen Knife is a Japanese lady punk trio that bases their music on Ramones-style punk, Beach Boys, 60's girl group harmonizing and J-pop. Little Eva was a prominent star of the early 60's 'girl group' sound and Shonen Knife are from Japan, which is the Far East/East Asia/Orient region. A 'girl group' from 'the (Far) East'. They're a fun band with a 'kawaii' image that plays punk rock and pays it HARD. Check them out.  I Saw Shonen Knife 5 Times
Nick Lowe Basher Supposedly his skills as a producer merited that NICKname to nick when he produced some early New Wave records.  I Saw Nick in 2019, FINALLY!
Ozzy Osbourne Prince of Darkness Ozzy took that nickname in keeping with his dark and sinister stage persona, though interestingly enough, the Birmingham-based Lucas Industries where Osbourne and his mother used to work for also earned the nickname due to Lucas's dubious reliability. Maryellen Larkin
David Bryan Lemma It's apparently because he does an impression of a boxer named Lemma Moon. Dayna
Ben Pollack The Father of Swing He truly deserved this title. A bandleader that had an eye for finding and developing very talented musicians, his gift earned him the nickname the "Father of Swing." Some of the musicians that passed through his bands from the mid-1920's to the 1940's went on to become successful bandleaders themselves: Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Harry James, Jack Teagarden, Yank Lawson, Hilton “Nappy” Lamare, Joe Harris, Charlie Spivak, etc. George&GermaineBriantFan
Jon Bon Jovi JBJ It's his name in three letters. dayna
Paul McCartney Beatle Paul Given to him by Jon Bon Jovi because he says that he's too old to call Paul Mr. McCartney and too in awe to just call him Paul. dayna
Elton John Sharon It was given to him by one of his closest friends, Freddie Mercury, who sadly died of AIDS in 1991 dayna
Freddie Mercury Bucky A mean childhood nickname for his teeth dayna
Bruce Springsteen The Boss He actually hates being called the Boss but the nickname has stuck because back when he and his band was still playing clun gigs, he would hand out their pay at the end of the night dayna
Led Zeppelin The Zepps For quite obvious reasons PeartNeal
Iron Maiden The Beast They have used this nickname in 2 tours (till 2020): "The Beast On The Road" (1982) & "The Legacy Of The Beast" (2019). PeartNeal
