The Lyrics

Cock a doodle-doo!
Doodle-doo do-doo do-doo!

Jebidiah just grabbed the plow
Headin out to milk the cow
Works hard every day
His 9 kids are bailing hay
He does a million chores
And when he’s done, he does some more
He’s good with the land
Jebidiah is one religious man

His wife wears a black dress
His sons always put up barns
His daughters married way to fast
And they all like to shun cars
And technology is the enemy
They live a modest life
And they have been,
Living all this time with…

No machines, nirvana,
Never heard Madonna.
They clean horse poo, as peaceful as Gandhi
It’s the Amish reality
They bid, for a mule
Spend long hours on the milking stool
'Cause they’re still preoccupied-
With 16, 16, 1685

Cock a doodle-doo!
(1965)
Cock a doodle-doo!

Their beliefs are Jurassic
Praying all the time
But their afterlife will be fantastic
So all the work is fine
They raise sheep and lamb
Are a bunch of basket weaving fans
Work the skin right off their hands
And follow all of God’s ten commands

All the men have beards growin out their chin
Nobody will ever sin
Why do they hate T.V.?
They live in small towns, live off the ground…
(The Amish population will grow)

No machines, nirvana,
Never heard Madonna
They clean horse poo, as peaceful as Gandhi
It’s the Amish reality
They bid, for a mule
Spend long hours on the milking stool
'Cause they’re still preoccupied-
With 16, 16, 1685

Cock a doodle-doo!

For them time, has stopped stop.
Still use the sundial clock (Sundial clock)
Preparing, for the life that comes after
For them time has stopped, stopped, STOPPED(work work work) AND BRING BACK-

No machines, nirvana,
Never heard Madonna
They clean horse poo, as peaceful as Gandhi
It’s the Amish reality
They bid, for a mule
Spend long hours on the milking stool
'Cause they’re still preoccupied-
With 16, 16, 1685

Cock a doodle-doo

No machines, nirvana,
Never heard Madonna (1685)
They clean horse poo, as peaceful as Gandhi

It’s the Amish reality (1685) (Cock a doodle-doo)
They bid, for a mule
Spend long hours on the milking stool (1685)
'Cause they're still preoccupied-
With 16, 16, 1965

I Think this one blows your other one out of the water--much more original---I didn't see 1685 coming . . .5s

People will say that this is rip-off of Amish Paradise, but it's got its own kind of charm. Wish you had changed more choruses.

It was a little messy at times. It was good though. I gave it 4, 5,5.

i couldn't sing along to some of it, and got a bit lost. But all in all it was really gd, it was original but different!
