Some wear little masks and use fancy tools
They don't play things nicely or follow cops' rules
They never seem lazy and most make girls drool
A Vigilant Hero's what I want to be
They get all the girls, the guys and idol'try

Sure they're tortured and feared in the bad guys huge lairs
but they always get out and their lives are all spared
Some even have sidekicks who stay with them for years
A Masked-Super Hero's the job that's for me
I could be Storm, Cyclops or shoot at zombies

They have such long lists of friends and enemies
Just look at Superman, his tights are so itchy
Can't tell how they hide cause they sure don't fool me
Perhaps this hero things not what I should be
Don't want to be hunted by Poison Ivy

They're strong and they fly and they try not to kill
Some have a dark side, but we all like them still
They live in big cities where bad guys are ill
A Vigilant Hero must get so angry
Living in secret can't be so happy
They won't get a job doing delivery
A Caped-masked-bulk hero must be hell to be
A Vigilant Hero is cool but scary
A Vigilant Hero is not what to be
