Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Please Look At The Road"

Parody Written by:

D-Mon

The Lyrics

bad drivers are a big problem.
Verse 1: Oh sweetheart, put the car keys down
I’ve got mine right here babe
I’ll go get the Chinese right now
You just sit and please stay!
No reason works, he still drives on
Was worth a try though
But boys will be boys
Oh yes they will
He just has to be macho
Just give up the keys and hop in with me
It’s for the sake of the I-63

Chorus: Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
Just drive slow
You wanna change lanes
Put on your blinks
And don’t pass right!
I don’t know what he thinks
Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
Not at me!
Cuz the more that you steer
The louder I’ll hear
From all the fear

Verse 2: You can’t drive, no, but you can come
To the movies too
Come to my car and buckle up
I ran over a screw
He grabs his keys
And off we go
Goodbye to my loved ones
I’m wonderin’ how he passed driver’s ed
If I let him drive I could be dead!

Chorus: Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
That’s a truck!
The next time we leave
I want the keys
Cuz you’re on the shoulder
And you’re heading for trees
Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
Don’t you sleep!
Cuz the more that you drive
The more that I’ll fright
And say…

Bridge: And I feel so nauseous
From this ride
Please be over
Not with a crash or something!
Oh, no!

Chorus: Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
Not my boobs!
You exceed the speed
Right passed a cop
When you pass your exit
Please don’t reverse or stop!
Oh, no!
Please look at the road, road!
Baby please!
Cuz the faster you fly
The more that I’ll cry
Don’t want to die!
Cuz the faster you fly
The more that I’ll cry
Don’t want to die!

Outro: Oh sweetheart put the car keys down
There’s no way that you’re drivin’!

This is like the perspective of the passenger of my "OnStar" parody of this round. I love that these two songs work together so well, but by itself this parody is still utter fantastic.

Excellent job! I am a much safer driver than my girlfriend so I could definitely relate to this song! Great work

Ok, I am going to be critical here, because I have seen better from you D-mon, but dont take it personal. 1.A lot of this confused me, sometimes I couldnt tell who was singing, the driver or the passenger. 2."Fright" is not a verb. 3. Some parts where you changed the rhyme scheme didnt make the parody better or worse...just THERE. Better luck on the next one, buddy.

Well it's one person's perspective throughout the whole song, but the situation changes with each verse. It's like each verse is a different moment in their relationship. My bad on the use of "fright". And I didn't realize that I changed the rhyme scheme that much. Sorry Agrimorfee.

(ABC) I hope this song wasn't inspired by me ;) I don't think I'm that bad of a driver (I think) HAHA!

(ABC) I'm a sucker for bad driving parodies (that's parodies about bad driving, not driving parodies that are bad), so this was great, though a bit of tweaking would've made it perfect. 555!

I remember my own Squeal Good:) I don't know D-Mon, it was a good idea, but for me it just wasn't over the top, I think on a comedy angle you were kinda constrained by the simplicity of TOS. . .
