The Lyrics

I read an article that linkin park is allowed to perform is the islamic republic of malaysia but they're not allowed to jump, scream, or basically do anything that linkin park does. This parody is supposed to be sung by mik and chester in their hotel suite.
My band's a little bit like House of Pain because we like to jump around
We get up on stage and the whole house is packed cause they expect us to be loud
I can't manage to understand, why my band's even here
With all the stuff that's off limits they should have went with a calm band like Everclear
Cause they, think that it isn't right, for a band's music to excite
Now what made us decide that we'd play
In a Muslim fundamentalist state?

I can't scream
What are we gonna do?
It seems that everything
We do is taboo
Showing knees
Is not permitted too
I think things
Are strange here, don't you?

We'll play a toned down and really bor-
Ing version of "In The End"
I'm sure you agree that playing crawling
Quietly makes no sense
We'll have, to chain ourselves to the ground to make sure that we don't jump
And now the way it seems to me is that this idea is dumber than Forrest Gump
We'll seem one step, closer to, boring bands like the Moody Blues
It is plain that this whole thing is wrong
This place is not somewhere that I belong

I can't scream
What are we gonna do?
It seems that everything
We do is taboo
Showing knees
Is not permitted too
I think things
Are strange here, don't you?

Loud
I can't be loud
I don't know why I am here in Malaysia
Not loud
I can't be loud
I don't know why I am here in Malaysia
Not loud

I can't scream
What are we gonna do?
It seems that everything
We do is taboo

I can't scream
What are we gonna do?
It seems that everything
We do is taboo
Showing knees
Is not permitted too
I think things
Are strange here, don't you?

I can't scream
What are we gonna do?
It seems that everything
We do is taboo
Showing knees
Is not permitted too
I think things
Are strange here, don't you?

Itīs probably true. I know that Megadeth was stopped from performing in Malaysia long after being scheduled. They have some of the worlds most modern arenas, and they are working hard to attract the worlds leading software and hardware companies, but when it comes to rock'n'roll artists... they have their own way of interpreting those bullets on the billboard list.

Love this parody! I myself wish the censorship laws weren't so tight in Malaysia. I mean, no jumping? No noise? That destroys the whole concept of Linkin Park!
