The Lyrics

(When this began)
I was only a kid
And this was something that normally drunk grownups did
(Picked out a song)
And I kinda liked finding out
That I'm not the only person who knows 'Twist And Shout'
(I took the stage)
But if I started with some decent rock
Then I ruined it all with New Kids On The Block
(What a mistake)
Messed up, making people groan
And the fault was my own and the fault was my own

Don't wanna sing another thing
'Cause I'm really suffering
Watching the screen so I don't get the lyrics wrong
(And nobody's singing along)
And when I sing, it makes a ring
Like a cat is strangling
Can't even bring a decent singing voice along
Karaoke song

It's like a swing and a miss
I can't believe I chose a song as boring as this
(I was ashamed)
Looking all around, only to see
Everyone seems to wish they could throw spoiled tomatoes at me
(What can I do?)
Should I go back and try another song?
Because I can't deny the fact that I got it horribly wrong
(Or just give up?)
My singing makes everybody groan
And the fault is my own and the fault is my own

Don't wanna sing another thing
'Cause I'm really suffering
Watching the screen so I don't get the lyrics wrong
(And nobody's singing along)
And when I sing, it makes a ring
Like a cat is strangling
Can't even bring a decent singing voice along
Karaoke song

I was only ten
But I swore that I'd never sing again
'Cause I'm not really sure
I should be heard in public anymore
I'm a mockery
Of the entire music industry
Though I hate to say
I'm giving up today

Don't wanna sing another thing
'Cause I'm really suffering
Watching the screen so I don't get the lyrics wrong
(And nobody's singing along)
And when I sing, it makes a ring
Like a cat is strangling
Can't even bring a decent singing voice along
Karaoke song

Don't wanna sing
Don't let me sing one more
Karaoke song
Don't wanna sing
Don't let me sing one more

Wow. That seems to be a good description of me, cause I like to sing, but suck at it! Anyways, very good parody! Rhyming and pacing was extremely excellent!

Where can I get Songs Without text?

I don't know how I missed this! I love this one! "And when I sing, it makes a ring. Like a cat is strangling." That line could be about me (if I took some vocal lessons and worked really hard to improve to that level. :D )

Worthy, man, worthy. I also share Melhi's amusement at that excerpt, but can proudly say that I sound like an asthmatic walrus when singing, a level above you throttled-feline-folk. 4-5-5!
