The Lyrics

Not that this will mean anything to anyone who doesn't watch Heroes... This one is based on the possible future snapshot from Season 1, Episode 20: "Five Years Gone"

If anyone gets a sense of deja vu reading this, I've resubmitted it as I forgot to enable comments on the first one
Hey Claire, it's Sylar
Though I'm looking like your daddy
It's a talent that I picked up
Makin' me the world's top baddie
Yes it's true
Soon I'll be able to heal, too
When I get you

Hey Claire, it's Sylar
And I'm Linderman's new fuhrer
But there's one man who can stop me
And it's Hiro Nakamura
But when I'm
Invincible, and in my prime
Then I'll have time

Oh, I'm not who you can see
Oh, I'm *so* not Nathan P
Now I'm president - whoopee!
Oh, yes, Sylar it is me
Sylar? Yeah that's me

Hey Claire, it's Sylar
And although I haven't said it
But just believe me, girl
Sometimes it can be hard, to keep your head
Let me explain
I don't know if you'll heal again
When I've your brain

Hey Claire, it's Sylar
Killing you guys is my mission
I'll follow up with Niki, Park-
Man, and the Haitian, Bennett too
You'll never know I killed them, too
I'll kill them all before I'm through
I think you're victim thirty-two
[Give or] Take a few

Oh, but there's no guarantee
Oh, with Hiro live and free
So, no series two for me
No, I won't make series three

It's been five years since Peter P
Nuked New York, put the blame on me
But since I killed his brother, I'm OK
I guess I really shouldn't care
His mother looks like Cherie Blair, but
Very soon I'll get her out the way
Young Mikah, and his dad, DL
I got them too, now you can tell
The world will never ever be the same
And I'm to blame

Hey Claire, it's Sylar
Though your life will soon be stolen
In another couple o' seconds
But the credits started rollin'
Damn it all!
Scriptwriters gonna change it all
I'd've had a ball

Oh, what will they do to me?
No invincibility?
D'Oh will Hiro have killed me?
D'Oh! he's changing history
Future history

That is absolutely brilliant. I read it the first time you submitted it and was laughing for ages as I'd recently watched that episode of Heroes. 555

Thanks, Stevie - I'm very tempted to have a crack at recording this (it is one of the easiest guitar tunes around) and making a youtube video with screenshots of that episode (and especially this pic: http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/3857/bscap499pz8.jpg) but time is a bit of a limiting factor at the moment :-(

Hi Phil, I've never watched Heroes but, I know the OS and your parody is (not surprisingly) well paced and interesting. That's enough for a 555 in my book.

it's all lost on me Phil as I don't know the characters but I read it to see how you handled the OS, which I'm predicting will become an amiright standard soon - and a great pacing job it was too - 555

Lost? Missed it. 24? Missed it. Prison Break? Missed it. Heroes? same thing....I can never get into all these recent American dramas...but the title sub was genius, and I can see the skill in the parody. 555

Hey, three non-Heroes watchers stopping by to read :-) There's a few in-jokes that would probably take a whole page to explain, so I'm not going to bother trying... but thanks for the kind words when you didn't have a clue WTF I'm going on about
Stu - It's not "Lost", it's "Heroes" ;-)... I agree that the OS is likely to become an amiright standard: a score or more already. If my son doesn't stop playing it soon, I'll have another one or two before too long (I've a hypochondria-based one half finished at the moment)
Kristof - never got round to watching "Lost"; tried "Prison Break" for a bit, but it was so unlike any prison I've been inside (for work only, I hasten to add), I found it stretching credibility way past breaking point... so it seems odd that I've got hooked on Heroes. All I can say is that I think it's possibly the cleverest bit of science fiction I can remember seeing on television, brilliantly plotted with more twists and turns than a couple of mating anacondas.

Heroes ROCKS! Anyways, I thought that one line where you rhymed 'too' with 'too' was a little too much. But other than that I loved it.
