Although it's never really been documented that she ever said the words, the phrase "Let them eat cake" has been traditionally attributed to French Queen Marie Antoinette, who was reportedly too wrapped up in her own luxurious life to be bothered with the hunger of the French people who were suffering through a famine. When told that the people had no bread to eat...did she really say "Let them eat cake?" I don't know...but even if she didn't...I can totally see her jamming to The Ting Tings...

Tasty food parody and historically brilliant as well. This was a really fun one. Never heard the parody before today but it's pretty fun (and must have been a pain in the butt to parody since it's so dang repetitive)

(Ages) This one definitely takes the cake, Arwen!! Nice write from a professional parody artist. When it comes to me and food, I get in a mood, but in this case, in Queen Antoinette's time, it's feast or famine. I get very, very, starving after reading/singing this one! 555 cornucopias to fight famine!
