The Lyrics

An eerie vision I had on November 23rd of 2004, after I fell asleep in my chair while Ipod commercials ran continuously on the TV...
(Nov-iem-bre vien-te-quatro!)
(Turn on the oven, mama!)

Go to town
We park
At home of Uncle Fred
Health food, low carb
Good eating to live longer
What a crock
Gravy boat is wide
Yams sit in the bowl
Cranberries in a pot
But there's a blunder

Oh no, oh no! (Carumba!)
Where the hell'd the turkey go? (Donde esta!?)
Tofu's something that I don't wanna know
Will you please serve me some meat--for the meal?
Meal!

The salad's in the bowls
There's luscious pumpkin pie
"Let's eat", I'm told
Eyes twinkle as I butter up my roll
And I expand my pants
"Say grace," you know

I can't stand fake meat
No praises for the chef
Want to take my hands
Wring them round his neck
Tofu gets me so sick
Tofu gets me so sick
Wooooaaahh...

Oh no, oh no (Carumba!)
Where the hell'd the turkey go? (Donde esta!?)
I wanna leave now and go home
Won't you at least serve ham at the meal?
Meal!

Yes this drumstick can be yours
Yes this drumstick can be yours
Yes the breastmeat can be yours
(Just give him what he wants)
(Just give him the bird)

Oh no, oh no! (Carumba!)
Where the hell'd the turkey go? (Donde esta!?)
Boston Market's closed I know
Will you serve some real meat for this meal?
You're kidding me...aaagggh
The family's cooking ME!...aaagghh
I can't deal!
Squeal!

No, no, no, no no no no no no no!

Excellent parody! I, too, have suffered because of forced diets during holidays.

Having trouble picturing you trying to "Wring them round his neck" seems like a hug, shouldn't it be "Wring his scrawny neck" or something?

Great pacing. I love it. Made me choke on my cheeseburger. :)

I checked and I think you're the only one on the site who's parodied this fun original, Aggro. I might join your exclusive little club, but you'll still be two months ahead. Excellent job. "Meal!" is a great sub, but "Where the hell'd the turkey go" is perfect. I rate this U2 x 2.5

Well done, Agrimorfee. But the real tragedy is that if there is no turkey, there is no stuffing.

I'm in the same boat as Stu, but I'll expand a little. I DKTOS, hate tofu and can't stand fake meat. But I'm sorry; THIS drumstick cannot be yours.

It was good-pacing wasn't quite perfect, but it was a very fun idea to this high intensity song
Matthias - December 02, 2010 - Report this comment
Simply a fantastic original song (probably the one I'm going to parody for the U2 round whenever that comes). This parody really made me chuckle. The pacing was a tad off but not enough for this not to be recorded. So I hope someday that Dave does this one for you.

(Holiday-Thanksgiving) I can not imagine a vegetarian Thanksgiving...unless I'm vegetarian myself. Agreed with all comments on this page! My mom being a nurse always is a killjoy when it comes to foods because she's always judging the nutrition: "Too full of fats!...too much sweets...artery cloggers...heart attack on a plate....you'll get diabetes and hypertension...and so on...and so forth!" I don't mind veggies, but if I don't have anything nice and fattening, I'll throw a tantrum. Yep, a Thanksgiving nightmare indeed. I'll donate 5 turkeys, 5 stuffings, and 5 cranberry sauces for this one to end your nightmare!
