The Lyrics

This is ALLICAT'S PARODY #3!!! And it is another U2 song! YAY! (i'm probably going to do a lot of U2 songs) It's so annoying when someone keeps on calling you constantly even at night and tying up your phone line- especially if you don't want to talk to them...
Calls, I think you make them all
You're telling me you want to talk-
I don't at all.

You don't have to call at midnight
Only call during daylight!
Let someone take your messages
For me tonight.

Listen to me now,
I need to let you know
You don't have to tie up my phone!

And it's you every time I turn my back
And it's you when I hear my ringtone
Sometimes I don't want to get the phone!

We fight all the time
Because you call every night
It's annoying
You don't want, you don't want to hear me say
That if you didn't call so much
I'd like you a whole lot more.

Listen to me now
I need to let you know
You don't have to tie up my phone!

And it's you every time I turn my back
And it's you when I hear my ringtone
Sometimes I don't want to get the phone!

I know you like to talk
I'm bugged when you call
Can you hear me complaining?
You're the reason I complain
You're the reason why I got caller ID!

Where are you now?
I've got to let you know
To deal with problems on your own
Hang up, leave me alone!

And it's you whenever I turn my back
And it's you when I want to be alone
Sometimes I don't want to get the phone!
Sometimes I can't get it
I'm telling you now not to fret it-
If sometimes I don't want to get the phone!

This wasn't too bad, Allicat...and one of my new fave U2 tunes. This parody would be better if you developed the initial idea a bit further...I sorta got the idea by the second verse and you really didn't say anything new after that. Add a few punchy one-liners and you're flying! 544

I submitted this parody in June, and two people read it?! Doesn't anyone know this freaking song? It's on the radio all the time! Am I that bad? Why does barely anyone read my stuff???
