The Lyrics

Seven Nation Army is officially the most annoying song I have ever heard. This is my view on the song.
It's gonna piss you off
So I wouldn't try to take it off the rack
They're gonna rip it off
Of your radio and it aint coming back
And I truly know that this song sucks
But I just don't care
Would it make it better if I sang it
In my underwear?

And the knick-knack paddy whack old man says, "Give the dog a bone"...

(The Infamously Annoying Chorus)
(Rambles on about his "skills" with guitar)

So now you've heard about it
You just want me to go away and burn in hell
Everyone hates it
But still so many records did I manage to sell
And they listen to it all frickin day
And get so damn annoyed
All just because this song sucks and
Their day I have destroyed

And the knick-knack paddy whack old man says, "Give the dog a bone"...

(The Infamously Annoying Chorus Again)
(Rambles on about his "skills" with guitar again)

I'm going to Wichita
I hope they like me better then they have before
And it could piss "em off
Make them really want to settle some kinda score
And it's repeating, and repeating, and repeating
Over in your head
But you will start to sing along with me
And you can finally see
That this song sucks

This song sucks (x4 for the last chorus)

To paraphrase a famous phrase: I may disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death to give you 5s for it!

I'm not familiar with TOS or much of your work Huff, but I'm a huge fan of turning songs against themselves (pretty much my entire Metallica album was done this way). "And the knick-knack paddy whack old man says, "Give the dog a bone"... That's the chorus? That, indeed, sucks.

I'm not sure if I would consider this the most annoying song ever, there's "Hollaback Girl", "A Horse With No Name" and the grandaddy of all-time annoying songs, "It's A Small World". Oh, 5s for the effort and sentiment even though I have no idea how it paces.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks Seven Nation Army is annoying.

Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I disagree. The only bad thing about this song is that I've heard it too much.

I thought I was the only person who thought the White Stripes did not deserve to be critical darlings. Jack White should be honored? For what? For thinking Loretta Lynn is awesome, no, that should be obvious. For hooking up with Renee Zellweger, no, that didn't help Kenny Chesney either. For having a girl as his drummer, no, the Velvet Underground did that 40 years ago -- and sounded better, too. Face it, Josh Stone did better with Jack's song than he and his ex-wife did. It's about time people stopped, as Mike Wilbon would say, slurping the White Stripes. Critics haven't gushed like this since the early days of U2 and R.E.M.

OK, while there MAY be a singer out there named JOSH Stone, and he might end up doing a White Stripes song better than the Stripes did it, the singer I meant to credit was JOSS Stone. Sorry.

As much I enjoy the music of the White Stripes, I will admit that this song is very irritating. Partly because when it was released, it was played nonstop. And also partly because it's pretty much the only White Stripes song the public has actually acknowledged. Good job.
