The Lyrics

This was written for my brother, who has recently been on the wrong end of the latest "trend" in driving in Australia: not frickin' indicating when you're supposed to.
It's like a circle of hell
The way you drive isn't well
I'm kinda pissed, can't you tell
Don't say you're on P's, mate

I keep my eyes peeled for this
The indicator, it ticks
But something was quite amiss
When you were changing lanes

Your car was movin'
Without indicatin'
That is so frustratin'
Do you want to crash now, buddy?

Hey, I just met you
But now I'm angry
You've indicators
So use 'em, maybe

You veered left to right
Quite suddenly
You're quite the moron
Just indicate, please

Hey, what you did there
Yeah, that was crazy
You've indicators
So use 'em, maybe

The little button's there
It's quite easy
I can't forgive this
So indicate, please!

You have the brains of a trout
Last-second tick doesn't count
You start before you turn out
Not half way between lanes

I tell you off with a beep
Flip the finger at me
Not original, I've seen it
Many times this day

There's lots of eejits
Who get me frustrated
By not indicatin'
When the cops come, they'll be sorry

May have just met you
But I'm still angry
You've indicators
So use 'em, maybe

Do you have the mind
Of old goat-cheese?
Shouldn't be too hard
To indicate, please

You did it again
What are you, crazy
You've indicators
So use 'em, maybe

Turn on the orange light
Before turning
It is quite simple
So indicate, please

You didn't blink your orange light
You need to use that
You need to use that
You need to use, use that

Supposed to blink your orange light
You need to do that
Why don't you know that
Your timing is real bad

What is your goal here
Crash into me?
This isn't hard, bro
Just indicate, please

Just turn it on, dude
Then change lanes slowly
That's what they're there for
So use 'em, maybe

They're early warning signs
Compulsory
Stop being stupid
And indicate, please

Before you turn, you blink the light
You didn't do that
You're meant to do that
I guess you're just a prat

You're meant to blink your orange light
You can't ignore that
Not optional, man

So indicate, please
I don't know how car licences work in America, but down here it's L-plates then P-plates then your full licence. I don't know how long it is between them, nor how old one has to be before you can get your L's, but that's because I'm a lazy dumbass who hasn't got his licence. "Eejit" is Irish slang for a dumbass.

Great job - many funny lines. Best one: "You have the brains of a trout"

Reminded me that I have yet to see a car with the same blinking rate as me. Why, why must all indicators blink at different speeds?! You watch for like 20 seconds as the car sits in front of you at a red arrow, and just when you think it might be the same it starts to slip. So frusturating. Even the same models of car usually vary. ACK Uh...so good parody I guess

Got some news for you Conq! As an older Australian I can assure you that this is by no means a recent trend!!!

I've driven in Orlando, Florida and I have to say they have some of the worst drivers of all time. A bunch of tourists who don't have any idea where they're going... Needless to say I can totally relate.

A good way to create accidents.

In the US, we just say "use yer turn signal, a******!" Although idiomatic with your Aussiness, I got the gist of it. Cute parody,

(ABC) Although the terminology's a bit different, I still followed this one easily. Some of the near rhymes were throwing me off because they weren't quite "near" enough to sound right. When I sang it out loud, I could really hear that. However, this was packed with hilarious lines and 100% perfect pacing. It seems like you sacrificed rhyme for jokes, amd that's perfectly fine because I still enjoyed it a lot!

Very funny theme that I can easily relate to as a New Yorker. I agree with Blayde on the rhyme scheme and on how that's fine since it supports the funny :c). Nice work

I like to think I'm a really good driver...no accidents, no tickets, nothing! This was a pretty funny spoof, however as much as I love the original song, I think the joke got spread pretty thin...not enough material to cover the whole thing. Nice work though

Fun stuff, TCOP. - people not using turn signals is a pet peeve of mine (okay, more like a major fking psychotic hatred). I live in a tourist town a the begininggn of yet another tourist season.
