The Lyrics

The idea came to me not so long ago. I don't mean to go SJW on everyone here, but I thought this was easy enough to write. Also, I do not endorse or condone the sentiments expressed in this song - this is mocking those people.
I wear my Sioux headdress on top of my head
And just below it, I've a bindi, blood red
I've never interacted with these cultures before
But I'll still use their elements and more

'Cause it's just clothing, not a thing,
Could be wrong with this
Though I'm white, it's all right,
Nothing is amiss,
POCs, just hate me,
I don't really care,
Dreadlocks are still my chosen style of hair

I don't care 'bout their thoughts, though they're offended,
If they want my respect, they've gotta earn it,
It may be racist, but I don't think it,
Baby, I'm just appropriative
Come on!

Give me a new hijab to place over my hair
I'll get a Buddhist tattoo right down there
Then speak AAVE without any care
While I hurl slurs into the air

'Cause it's just clothing, not a thing,
Could be wrong with this
Though I'm white, it's all right,
Nothing is amiss,
POCs, just hate me,
I don't really care,
Dreadlocks are still my chosen style of hair

I don't care 'bout their thoughts, though they're offended,
If they want my respect, they've gotta earn it,
It may be racist, but I don't think it,
Baby, I'm just appropriative

I don't care 'bout their thoughts, though they're offended,
If they want my respect, they've gotta earn it,
It may be racist, but I don't think it,
Baby, I'm just appropriative

Oh
White people wear it better
POCs don't know better
Oh
Why shouldn't I use their culture?
Why shouldn't I use their culture?
It's their opinion

I don't care 'bout their thoughts, though they're offended,
If they want my respect, they've gotta earn it,
It may be racist, but I don't think it,
Baby, I'm just appropriative

I don't care 'bout their thoughts, though they're offended,
If they want my respect, they've gotta earn it,
It may be racist, but I don't think it,
Baby, I'm just appropriative
Come on

Baby, I'm just appropriative
Come on
Baby, I'm just appropriative

I have no problem with people of any race wearing green bowler hats. St Patrick's Day or not. Call us "Fighting Irish", we won't hit you. Drink Guinness at your Bar Mitzvah. Celebrate Kwanzaa with corned beef and cabbage. A "stereotype" is the brand of a turntable or CD player for playing music. Preferably from a bagpipe.
