Parody Song Title:

"Luger Luger"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Luger, Luger
(The NRA Love Song)

Luger,
Oh, gunny honey.
You're better than a girl,
And you've got me wanting you.

Gunny,
Oh, Luger, Luger.
You're better than a girl,
And you've got me craving you.

I just love to push those hard phallic slugs into you
(I hope that my aim is true).
I just can't leave this gun alone. . .can't stop feeling you
(I hope that my aim is true).

Luger,
Oh, gunny honey.
You're better than a girl,
And you've got me craving you.

Gunny,
Oh, Luger, Luger.
You're better than a girl,
And you've got me craving you.

When I kissed your curled
Trigger, it really aroused me
(Your curves aroused me).
Just look at that gun shine
When I polish it—then me
(Polish it—then me).

Oh pour a little powder on me, gun, please (Luger).
Pour a little powder on me, baby (gun, please; gun, please).
Then we'll make slugs so sweet (yeah, yeah, yeah).
Pour a little powder on me (oh yeah).
[fade and repeat]

Pretty good shot at parodying The Archies.

Thanks, JD. Tell me more about your limericks. The Santa one you posed a few days ago was very good.

I don't really have a large collection of limericks, the way I do with song parodies. I just slap them together as the occasion arises. I've had a couple of limericks published - one in The Boston Globe (in a "Boston-Themed" limerick contest), and another won honorable mention in a Concord, Massachusetts, "Concord-Themed" limerick contest.

A brave exopthalmic from Mars
Journeyed to Earth from the stars
What he saw made him brood:
"Life on Earth, I conclude,
Is mainly just meat packed in 'cars' "

(that one was NOT widely published, until now!)

I'm a bit more into limericks--2100+ and counting. Was on a jag a couple of years ago, but now just do 'em when the mood strikes. Tried to get 'em published, but my agent wouldn't touch the proposal. Are you by chance from the Boston area, one of my old stomping grounds?

Yes, I am. Take a look at my bio on my Amiright "Parody Authors" page.

Ah yes. And how does one get one's bio onto the page? Probably blinding obvious, but I don't see the mechanism. One of my clients, Sybase, has an office on Concord.

You can email the webmaster, Chucky G (Charles Grosvenor), and ask him - last time I checked, his policy was that when a writer had posted at least 25 parodies, Chucky would accept a bio to post on their author page.

Thanks. I'm at 27, so I'll send him something.

I can't believe this hasn't got more votes- it's effing brilliant. I can see charlton heston dancing around his living room to it. John, I see you're at 27; we're going neck and neck, but I've not had much time the last week----I'll leave you in my dust, bud!

Well, here is one more vote, it is very good. I suspect there are a few PC's out there who can't see past the PC to see that it is just a parody....sigh.
