Parody Song Title:

"Gimcracks"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Gimcracks

Gold chains, watches, tchotchkes, fakes of Louvre's "Mona,"
Baubles, bangles, beads of glass,
Mojos schlepped home from bayous in Lou'siana,
Signs for California gas.

Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
Gimcracks—oh no!—brought home.
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng—
Gimcrack 'ho'.

Sweets and Aston-Martin models made in Oman,
Butt cushions made in Bhutan.
Bottle-shaped girls' toys that say you'll soon be coming.
Buttressed penile pumps for man.

Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
You'd better get on the phone
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng.
So you can get a
Storage locker, or two
For storing spike-heel shoes
And those logo'd sweaters,
You gimcrack abettor.

Gimcracks, knickknacks, bric-a-brac:
You have bought a throng. . . .

Thanks, Kristof. Ash, per Webster's, a gimcrack is "a showy object of little use or value." Synonym: "gewgaw." JD, enlighten me.

That's more or less what I guessed, but I wasn't sure. This is great! I'm baffled by the amount of words you were able to use and still keep the pacing of the original! Now I shall give you 5's sir!

A mathom is a useless piece of rubbish that gets passed around from one hobbit family to another through the years and generations as a gift on various gift-giving occasions.

Maybe you can send them all to the museum at Michel Delving...

When reading the title of this parody I was thinking a gimcrack is a gym person's crack (like plumbers crack) when some gym bloke wearing striped stubby footy shorts bends over and the notch of his bumcrack is exposed. Anyways great parody, all 5's mate!
